The board of directors set the direction if the club and the tone of the club..
Starts there.
They then give the CEO directive on where they want the club to be.

It starts at the top
The CEO then goes to work to achieve the direction.

No way does it begin with the CEO.
Though he can bugger up the directive but then he works get sacked

Bondi if somebody means we'll and is destroying everything and won't go away he's still the enemy. Even though he's one is yours you need to take him out before he does more damage.
But why would anybody place such ill skilled people in charge and allow them to stay is the question.
They sack coaches because they don't believe those coaches are in the best interest of the football club.
Ditto to CEO s etc
Coaches delist players..
Recruiters go..
The funny thing is.. It's the board that directly or indirectly is responsible for each and everyone of those appointments and they continue on.
That's an incredible illustration of gross neglect and unaccountability

I wouldnt be surprised if the at least one of the camps is off the board @ years end.
Doesn't say much for the theory that these families control Carlton. It says a lot more about their football nous and even more that the president and football department were clueless 2007 to 2012.

I can't see any of the camps going anywhere. They've spent too much to just walk away. They're in too deep to just leave.

it looks legit.

I'm not surprised this club's top end gets away with this kinda stuff too. look at this forum board as a great example. everyone is more worried about what happens to Essendon*, than what's going on right under our noses.

all the worrying about Essendon* in the world doesn't change the fact that A) our club is not in fact our club. it's just a play thing for a few rich peanuts and B) Essendon*'s outcome affects us in no way, shape or form.

The only way i think we have any chance of getting any real changes to the club is if members all cancel their memberships and cause the club to collapse. This is [REDACTED].

yep ... and the only way to get people to cancel is to make them publicly aware of just how bad we are. a public movement.

I don't get this thread - what's to 'discuss'?

Duke do you reckon its a good look for our board to create a dictatorship scenario with ceo approving a alternative board? Especially when we are supposed to be transparent and engage our fans but at some time you block change. Again giving the appearance of an exclusive boys club

This committee was discussed here last year when it was introduced. Why the sudden hysteria?

More referring to the name of the thread. If there's something separate to the title to discuss, then go ahead, but I'd be happy to let this thread die a sudden, brutal death.

I believe, and he can correct me if I'm wrong, that Synners thinks they rigged the vote.

Guys, please head over here to discuss this further:

Independent Nominations Committee - passed at AGM

You might as well read the constitution before you cry foul (as should The Age writer who clearly skim reads this forum).
