They won't be holding a kid back, they'll be adding a dimension to the team: speed.

Isn't Walker in my side? Armfield is average and isn't the future.

The next three years isn't about winning for me. It's about developemnt and buidling the next great side. To do that we need as many games into kids as possible to develop them and see if they are good enough.

I don't read about bad attitude or disruptive influences anywhere. In fact more like valuable contribution to their new teams.
Well there're not much more Mick can shed for no returns so let's see whatt happens next.
Ciao

Without Merrett, my sister would have kicked 7 against the Lions, and she can't even kick straight. He went goalless the week before in "hot" company.

How did Garlett go last Saturday when the heat was on?

Eddie went back to SA to be closer to his sick father and because the Blues did not match Crows offer after an indifferent final year with us. Thomas was set for a good year before he went down Rd 1, let's just see how this "swap" plays out the next few years when Daisy gets back out there. It was his shoulder that went, not the "dodgy" ankle.

Move on FFS.

P  If they were still in the team you just know they'd be copping it from the Carlton negatron faction anyway. "No heart, flaky, bad influence, go missing in big games blah blah"

Armfield's kicking is in form and he's got 8 goals in 4 VFL pre-season games. He brings more than Whiley or Graham right now. Warnock has about 120 minutes of pre-season footy under his belt and would be a huge risk.

My changes at this point are:

Out: Jones, Tutt, Menzel, White, Carrazzo, Ellard, Smith

In: Boekhorst, Buckley, Armfield, DVR, Walker, Cripps, Byrne

Actually, its been - laidler, robinson, betts, garlett, waite + pick 83 for picks 61 + 79...

5 former first 22 players for a 3rd round pick and a late round pick upgrade...

Well in that case you can tack on Thomas and Dick considering you're counting all the free agency losses and gains (and even two delistings).

Jimmae your constant championing of Armfield's form is driving me up the wall.

We need defensive application from our small/medium forwards. He nails that, but he's also nailing I50s and goals right now.

The function after the game will be interesting. Ill definitely will attend to get a feel for the "vibe" - especially if we get smacked (which I expect).

It's clear he gives the ball back far too frequently via his flawed kicking action. Difficult to see him on the list after this year.

Why would you do that? Crazy talk....MC is probably thinking about taking out Simmons and replace him with Watson.

..got murdered playing too many talls in round 1... So we added more and got slaughtered...so we must need more...

Bare minimum changes:
Out: White, Ellard, Menzel, Smith
In: Walker, Armfield, Cripps, Buckley

Additional changes if we're serious about improving our game style after quarter time:
Out: Jones, Tutt
In: Boekhorst, Byrne

If we've taken our heads out of the clouds and accept that some older types might need decent pre-season minutes after half the previous season out:
Out: Carrazzo
In: DVR

I think Tutt and Carrazzo will survive the chop, so I'm hoping for 5 changes, with Boekhorst sneaking in ahead of Byrne.

OMG... Goddard's 250th as well? The stars are aligning for us to get absolutely raped.

Complete TV, radio, internet and social media blockout for me. Phone will be off.

Bell. Gibbs. Whiley.
Tutt. Rowe. Jones.
Bucks. Casboult. Murph.

Drop all our taggers!!????

Have you lost your mind.

That means we'd have to have some sort of midfield strategy or something.

Carzy talk.

Collins, McIness and McCarthy are all gone.

Thank God for the Hampson/Docherty swap.
