As long as Carazzo and Curnow are in the side, we're not a threat.

One is fine, and I don't care who, but both in the side just shows where we're at.

Yep, a strong possibility.

If we take the bait of trying to exploit their lack of tall defenders by playing three talls, they'll run it out all day and cream us on the rebound.

Only if the talls don't mark the footy, which is the obvious reason for exploiting their lack of height.

Bingo.

And then holding their marks is dependent on the delivery from upfield.

I like the idea of Casboult in the goal square and jones leading out with Hendo marshalling the arc as CHF.

Everyone needs to perform and win. Understatement.

Not only is the highly effective and damaging Cox out of the equation in this game, for the same reason, retirement, Glass is also out. These 2 have caused a lot of problems for us in the past games they played. 2 tall players. 2 AA's.

The next 2 best defensive talls, mCKenzie and Brown are also not playing against us due to injury.
That leaves Mc Govern as the only quality KPD playing for them.

If Casboult plays FF surely McGovern will go to him.

That leaves both Hendo and Jones to play against virtually their 3rd and 4th talls.

That's a huge advantage if our midfield can deliver.

Not only that, Wood has Casboult to provide ruck relief instead of unsettling the backline by pinching Rowe and shuffling deck chairs. Nic Nat will still dominate ruck for most of the game if Warnock doesn't play, and Imo he will not.

WCE will most likely play a running team to give them the edge. They aren't that great in the midfield like they were in by gone era, but they do have a good system with one behind play which they exposed in the NAB.

We have a huge chance to win this and win it well if the boys have a fire in the belly and fear of the backlash being 2 zip.

We will win.

Casboult for Jaksch
Tutt for Thomas
Buckley for Smith

Yes, but be wary of their lack of talls.

If Hendo and Jones fail to mark the ball, and they are not exactly clunking them right now, their smaller players ie Hurn will run the ball out of defence at ease.

This will be a bigger problem. We need to get some defensive smalls in there, to keep the pressure up forward for us.

With a few teams in the eight playing each other this week, a big win could see us back in the eight baby!!

I think they'll go as small as possible and try and run all day with the extra on-field rotations, as well as trying to force us to go a little shorter to defend a few.

Look for their 6'3"+ types to be on their bike all day, and they've got a few good ones in terms of running capacity.

We still might win if we use four taggers again, just hope we don't.

For all the talk of West Coast's lack of talls they'll still probably have the best 2 on the ground in Kennedy and McGovern.

Nic Nat & Lycett will be a handfull too. Natanui showing ominous signs last week.
It'll be a very tough game, not sure if we the quality personal to go to pinch this one.
Hope the boys give it there very best and compete right till the whistle.
Go Baggers.

In the Loretta Johns story on the Clubs website today it says that the team travels to Perth tomorrow (Thursday). If the Big Footy comment is true, maybe players from Perth are allowed to go a day early. I think this has happened in the past.

Poster says they were at the airport today and saw some players. One's mentioned were Judd, Simmo, Gibbs, Murphy, Cripps, Smith, Hendo, Ellard and Jamo. So maybe some WA boys and some of the leaders have gone early.

What's out of context?
Mick said you would be naive to think it won't be a distraction to the players.

Jammo is good on Kennedy.

It's when their mids stream forward with EASE that they provide opportunity for Kennedy no back man can stop.

McGovern can only stop one KPF, and Imo Casboult has weapons no KPD can overcome

We have to target Nic Nat Sheedy style.

I know we don't have many tough nuts who can hurt like Carlton boys could in the 80s and 90s but I can think of one: White. I think if Casboult was given the directive he too could inflict passion for the content

We need to add some ruthlessness to our game.

Every week for years now I see every other clubs mongrels hit us harder than we hit them: every club.

Irritates me. Time to turn the tables and start to act like a top 4 club who means business.

Priddis requires a big bodied tagger if we tag. As if we won't.
Small Tiggers will be swatted like flies. No point in small tagged including Curnow.
I think this is where we have White tag.....or Cripps goes head to head with Priddis.

Stop Priddis and we stop supply to outside mids who will deliver to Leceas and Kennedy.

Anyone know if we have tried to tag Priddis and with whom. Was it successful? I can't remember success against Priddis win or lose.

Will any of our mids be tagged? Is that part of coach Simpsons modus operandi ala MM at Carlton?
