Anyone else get that email for 20+ year members to get a free social club pass for the Port game?

Good initiative. Not sure it was meant for me though. :S

Thanks Wookie, love your work. Would love to see memberships sold as a $ figure and how we compare with others in this area.

Who give a crap about the membership figures.

Here's a though - get rid of the embarrassing President, get a propoer marketing & recruiting Department, get rid of the dead wood in our coaching panel (Barker), move games away from the venue we currently call home (and cant win at) and grow some balls.

Do the above and I can gaurantee you 15,000 more members.

If you are a member now you are being played for a fool.

It sickens me to see the likes of Hawthorn and Richmond above us and Essendon* are Collingwood are so far ahead of us.

The membership figures tells the story of a club in massive decline. As much as I blame the club for our plight I think we, as supporters are equally to blame. We blindly purchase membership tickets every year andd prop up this President, Board, Recruitment department and administration in general.

The club needs a shake up and the best way to do that is not buy memberships. Send the message that we are not happy otehrwise don't complain when its too late to change things.

While I was at the club on the weekend I enquired about collecting a cap so I could wear it at the game on Sunday night.

I could only buy the cap in a combo with a polo shirt I didn't really want and I could only receive the items by post (ie. could not collect them at Princes Park). I understand this is probably due to storage and distribution issues but surely having a limited number of packs for collection at PP is not out of the question???

Or some more flexibility in selection of items, especially given the cap is no longer included in the membership price.

Sigh.

Does that include the memberships given out for free last year  .
If you deduct approx 3000 from our membership tally (not sure how many they gave for free =$198.00 per membership)

All consirpacies and tin foil hat wearing aside, the membership figures say no such thing.

Memberships are up and revenue is up. We might not be flying along like some clubs, but we are most certainly not in decline.
