Rowe is not the future....too slow. If Levy is cooked then I see why he has been omitted.

Hopeless situation if we can't play Warnock first ruck to have Kreuzer as a target at FF along with Hendo at CHF.

I like Hendo and Jammo combo in defence but neither will stifle Roo so Hendo there is a waste.

I would've liked to see Menzel. Maybe MM is hoping we make the 8. I

Geez those who played last week owe us....have no idea if MM can gee them up for this one....especially when players look forward and see one Rowe as their target and the 3 amigos playing outside to avoid physical contact in no mans land.

I look forward to see what effect MM can have on Hughes list of soft cocks.

Like last week I have lost confidence in the players and MMs ability to extract much from them nor his selection of one target forward....oh yeah and if we are tagging their 4 mids who in our team is doing the attacking.

Lose this and it's rebuild from the top down. Your arse is on the line Kerna and you should know it watching our team go to waste.

Just jumping on here to alleviate the despondency of reading the comments of Carlton supporters on the Club's Facebook page... we too have so, so many supporters with a room-temperature IQ.

Bondi we have a multitude of problems but by blaming hughes, Sticks and Ratten we are ignoring the wider issues of leadership and development which have been around for over 10-12 years.
We haven’t had any real leadership from president, coach or players for a long time now and just blaming the latest in the long line is just very short sighted.
When we brought in Murphy and he got smashed from pillar to post as a 18 year old who were the leaders to support him?
When we had Fev running around as a big kid and all the new draftees taking a lead from his behaviour who were the ones to pull him up?
We haven’t had a leader on or off ground since the early naughties.
Malthouse isn’t going to fix the membership department or the pokies revenue but he was brought in to make a statement that this kind of behaviour with the playing group (which he can control) isn’t going to be ignored any more.
Realistically he is the only one that can make an immediate impact on the mentality of this playing group. If he doesn’t then we will be cooked until we can impact the younger generation of draftees and instil some discipline, self respect and an uncompromising will to win.

People are complaining about us being too small.
How would picking these guys have solved that problem ?

Last time we played them everybody was complaining about playing the 3 talls and this time everbody is complaining about not having enough talls and where too short....

The debate was over 3 ruckmen, not 3 talls.

Sometimes its debatable that our ruckmen are ruckmen but simply just tall players..

Totally agreed...I'm just venting a few of my many gripes.
I was a glass is half full and suffered from rose coloured glasses.
I wasn't confident last week but backed us because....we might....
Right now, they have Reiwoldt and we have Henderson....as our bonafide big man stars.
One will be more dangerous than the other in front of goals...that's the one in front of goals.
I wonder if MM is playing for a win, or into containment...you know...the bigger picture.
The process.....if so great...but I don't know.

I'm really down on the present Carlton....I'm up tempo for the kids...but it doesn't feel right.

What's wrong with Warnock?
A few games into him and he may raise his value....$$$$.

I don't know what's going on.
The coach is apologising which is fine, and 25% of those who played against Swand have to be replaced by class...plus holes filled.

Waite is the 3rd tall....he's missing....and he's our most dangerous.
I would have been happier to believe Kreuzer may kick 3-4 which he's due...and could against Saints..to help us win plus do wonders for his confidence...then there's games which can be put into Menzel...maybe he gets the last 3-4.

Dependent on the 3 Amigoes with Walker makes 4 as our avenue to goal.
I do not espect more than 2 from Rowe and he ma kick none too.

I hope we win...but me knees are tremblin....and I don't want to feel like this in 2014.
I've had enough of pretending we're good and hoping we win....we're in short term strife imo.

Go Blues....but I'm fading away like your season is

My GUESS is:

B: Simpson Jamison McInnes
HB: Tuohy Walker Yarran

Foll: Kruezer Carrazzo Murphy
C: Scotland Curnow Gibbs

HF: Garlett Henderson Judd
F: Betts Rowe Lucas

Int: Armfield Cachia McLean (Robinson)

Neither side is that tall.
Walker can handle Riewoldt for run and workrate.
Jamison then on Lee.

Like everyone else on here I'm perplexed by selection this week.
Is he giving them one last chance to show what they can do to redeem themselves?
- otherwise maybe he'd switch Yaz and Walker cos at least Walker provides a few different things up forward.
- still so many defensive midfielders - who creates the win for us?
- Robinson surely not healthy?
- will he play Gibbs in the thick of it this week like against Hawthorn (his best game)?
And then: lose Waite, drop Levi and bring in one tall? The last few weeks the load on Levi & Kruez has had them spent later in the game, and now we go in even thinner for potential marking forwards?
It's hard to know from this distance if MM is sticking to a brilliantly conceived long term vision, or if he is like a first year player and getting a bit worn down by a long season?
I'm so expecting another demoralising loss that I think the answer to my first question is "from next week we will see Menzel, Graham, Buckley and maybe some of Watson, Mitchell, Bootsma & Warnock for the rest of the year."

My one and only live game this year. Hoping for strong performance from the boys.

We have basically gone for the same structure that we had last week when Waite went off ... the net effect being Rowe for Casboult.

My guess is a late change to the team.

Hope Milne has his earplugs in. Tonight's reception is not going to be pretty. :yikes:

Guessing Lyons article will be up on wall in dressing room and bet the boys respond which is in many ways more concerning

Respond for this game...then what?

I'll take a win tonight....in fact I'm desperate for a win as are my 2 young boys.
But what does it mean to win against the team whose 3rd last on the ladder?
What does it mean to be lacking confidence in our ability to beat this mob who are 3rd last on the ladder?

Just finished watching the game we lost against them by 9 points....they really hit us hard and were faster. Hendo at CHF is part of the answer. Rowe at FF...

It means FA, but I'd take any win against these bastards just to rub their flouring noses in it.

When a playing group has to be shamed into playing its best footy, well then you have real problems.

I am pretty confident Henderson will spend most of the game forward. Kinda looking forward to seeing how the forward line looks with Rowe and Hendo as the targets.

Other than that, there isnt much to get excited about :( This team needs some serious attitude and work rate fixes.
