It's !@#$%&, the AFL are !@#$%&, the slide rule is !@#$%&, they have finally cost my team a game due to there incompetence.

Garbage.

That goal changes the game. Sliding doors.

Why didn't Garlett make a fuss about it... force the umpire's to re-think?

Either way... though we got away with Bett's non review.

Because Garlett knew he screwed up by not completing the mark and trying to be too cute in an Essendon* game.......again!!!!

Thought the umpires had a reasonable game... can't deflect our ineptitude on them tonight

The drug cheats got the rub of the green in the last quarter from the umpires.
Lost for words really, went to the game and despite being dominant for most of the game we blew it again.
The best team didnt win and we had to sit there for over a minute with a goal review for a behind or out of bounds yet no review was called for when Garlett kicked a goal.
I hate those arseholes, never heard boo out of their supporters all night until the last quarter.
How Lucas missed that goal is beyond me, a 12 year old girl would have kicked it for goodness sake.
What can you say, we are soft. I hate this footy with everyone in one half of the ground.
Oh well, i tipped Essendon*.

Just noticed we have had 11 touches from our sub in the last 4 games. Might as well run out with 21 players.

Did i mention we need to identify players who cant stand up in finals type games and ELIMINATE them ?
They are a virus.. and dont hold their ground.
they cause the other players to go into a panic...!!!... cos you cannot rely on them to hold up their end...

have i mentioned that????

there are some of them in the side.. and we have a bunch of guys in the ressies we cant even use ... cos theyre not capa ble of playing the modern game.....

i reckon flicking ten is a minimum... not sure how many can be flicked in a single year and find replacements.. but what we see is ridiculous

Hey Synners,

Tend to agree, who is in your 10 to de-list?

Cheers

Umpires and goal reviews had nothing to do with it.

I thought Kreuzer was immense inside the contests tonight. Essendon* would have won a lot more clean ball without him throwing himself around. And people would trade that for a handful of better tap-outs? :donk:

People don't see that.

Share these immense contests? Ie the ones when the heat was really on?

I have banged on about Kreuzer for a while now and again was disappointing in a big game. Simply does not do enough, especially when it really counts. Clearly the most overrated player on this site.

Unfortunately the pick was a mistake. The game has passed him by in his short career.

On a positive note, we do have a genuine ruckman its just not MK. Kruiz may be immense in some inside contests (what 100kg man wouldnt be) unfortunately he isn't our best ruckman, He doesn't appear to be our best anything, he's turned out to be a jack of all and master of none. Much has been said about Lucas not being worthy of a first round pick, but despite some frustrating performances he's been far better value. It's about time the spotlight turned onto Kruiz.

Exactly! But how did we let it get like that? :sly:

Ummm, we did lose to St Kilda guys, what do we expect really, we're just an ordinary middle of the road team unfortunately. The only thing that upsets me tonight is letting the big lead we had slip away so easily. Oh well, 12 years of crap has sort of made me a bit numb when it comes to the bullshit they dish up regularly.

Just got home on the most crowded train I've ever seen. I still cannot fathom how we managed to lose that. We should have been ten goals up halfway through the third. We butchered the ball, we missed a few shots but we didn't kick loads of points. Too many passes at players feet or over their head, and too many bombs.

It was a game to prove who is a contender and who is a pretender- guess who. We had about our strongest side in, how did we lose that.

Hendo played a blinder until his last kick, Waite had a 2 good qtrs after spending the first trying to take impossible screamers from behind. Levi can mark, unlike almost all our other big players.
Too many battlers. White's ball handling was poor. And Yarran is either fit to play the whole game or not fit for the 22.

Gibbs will play 250 very neat, concise games, but he is never going to drag us across the line in a tight game.

I love Big Ks work ethic and endeavour, but few sides have invested so heavily in ruckmen as us. We have used 3 high draft picks including a #1 to get three ruckmen, 2 of whom are superfluous. Big K, for a #1 draft pick, just doesn't have enough outstanding about him. He is an average mark, and doesn't look dangerous up forward. He is a good competitive ruckman, but is he going to be a dominating player? I am sure we decided he was when we had the choice of giving WCE pick #1 or Josh K.

Juddy is still very good, but not the player he was two years back. Drafting, coaching appointments, lack of any coherent strategy at the top, and here we are 13 years into the millenium of mediocrity.

And we have our ritual humiliation by the Hawks awaiting us.

What pisses me off more than losing tonight is that I expected the capitulation. It appears inevitable at the moment. I look forward to seeing an end to this, however, in my opinion, it will be a while.

I like to think the players will feel this and learn from it....

Until I realise I've repeated these same words more times than I can count over the journey....

They feel it now, but their bad habits will come back, and they'll learn jack-shit from the experience.

I can only hope the players Mick turfs out take these shitful habits and attitudes with them.

Yeah, get players that we think will win us games with a bit of development into them, not the 'best in their position still left at pick 48' type mentality we now have.

Yep, I am not the least bit surprised that we lost that game. You could sense it was going to happen.

Would prefer to see Kruiz added to that list, traded for an early pick, but with each performance, I think the margin between perceived potential and reality has closed.
