Yeah, you guys are right. Waite has been a fantastic leader for the club.

Not sure if taking the piss, but regardless Waite has done more good than bad for the club.

He's not as Ying/Yang as Brendan Fevola.. not by a long shot.

I reckon he "suffers" from extreme bouts of White Line Fever. How many times has Waite played his first game for ages (be it after a long pre-season, or returning from injury) and he's gone a bit agro and over the top? I reckon a few.

He's passionate. The wrong kind at times, but also the right kind when he's on.

I don't believe we've seen the last of Hampson, Warnock and Kreuzer in the same side. I expect Kreuzer to go to the backline if Jamison is out (with Simon White and Henderson).

Well, I called it back on page 6 and I just had a feeling that MM wants to make the 3 ruck thing work...

Not really excited about that fact.

Kreuzer won't get a Hickey every week. On the footy field anyway.

Do you think there has been a high level of accountability these last 10 years?

We were going places until last season. So you probably need to take last year and this year in isolation from anything before it.

Depending on what occurs henceforth, last year was the recession we had to have, or it's our GFC, and I don't mean the Geelong Football Club...

Sounds like he'd be too shy to go past first base on that note.

Maybe we should have sent Juddy back to the 2's for a couple of weeks after the month he copped for the chicken wing.
Surely that was much more stupid than Waite's little love tap.

Or maybe we should have given him a couple of weeks for the pressure point?

Why not?

Because the punishment given by the tribunal was appropriate

And that`s why we will continue to go nowhere.

You'd think Waite had done a Barry Hall.
Watch the replay again. Seriously. It was very, very minor.
I can't be bothered arguing this any further, agree to disagree

I think a few are confused about the cause and affect here.

Continue to play poorly and it doesn't work.
Play well and it probably works because it can stretch the defense and stop Waite being double teamed.

The reason the 3 tall's is not working is because only Warnock is contributing at the moment and that is only in the ruck, not around the ground. If the other two can pull their weight, takes some marks and kick some goals then the 3 tall's can work.

It is same with having the 8 onballers. If 80% off them struggle, as they are, then does that mean 8 onballers doesn't work and we should only have 5?

If each players lifts and the team lifts as a cohesive unit, then all might be right with the world.

Regards Cazzesman

When only two out of the three can mark and kick, it's a pretty tough ask to expect three to succeed. Not knocking the recruitment...knocking the development.

So the odds of it working are?

There is no evidence of it working outside maybe 1-2 games against poor opposition, and that was Essendon* trying it, not us.

How much time has it been given?

How many games have they played together compared to say Essendon*, Sydney or Hawthorn's three?

Very rarely has it happened for good reason.

- They are usually never fit at the same time.

- Hampson has a semblance of a good game when we play Richmond or 1-2 other halves of a game per year.

- Outside of Kreuzer the other two are hopeless once the ball hits the ground in a forward marking contest.

- We have forwards in Rowe, Casboult and Mitchell are I believe are all better options forward and all of whom are fit and have form in the reserves.

I reckon Rowe is on the bench in case Jamison doesn't come up so they will play kreuzer at centre half back with Henderson and Rowe and Waite forward.

Mitchell?

The same Luke Mitchell's who's played one decent game all year?

Anyone who suggests Waite needed to have some kind of example made of him is speaking silly talk.

He copped a week from the MRP for a silly little thing. He didn't go around the whole game belting people or sulking or sooking.

Malthouse went through him like a hot needle through butter privately.

So how about people step off a bit and stop baying for blood.

This place is like the roman Colosseum at times... people just want someone to die.

If we win this it will be a great effort. We are playing a side sitting 4th
I can't believe the criticism of the mc. 3 days out from the game it's great we can't read the selections. Judge the mc on the selected side not a 7 man bench

Not sure if you can really read into a ladder position at a stage where everyone has yet to play half of the competition...

To everyone who seems to think Waite should have been left out by the leadership group this week I ask you,

Has any team, coach, leadership group EVER imposed an extra week(s) ban for a suspended player in addition to that handed down by the tribunal?

And it doesn't count if it's a fringe player.
This is by far our best key forward in a team that is absolutely screaming for a key forward.
A guy that many believe to be the most important to our team, if not at least in the top 5.

Essendon* last week with Ryder?
