Its an issue as if Judd wants to continue receiving this money, and we are not sure of contracts in place, then this amount goes into Carltons cap which affects the whole list.

The guy makes a million without it from the club...

See this is what i believe is wrong with this footy club.

Focussing on all the wrong things for sure....

Chris Judds third party contract... woopy... let them sort it out.. id be fupped if i care one way or another..

Dome or MCG..

all distractions from whats required to be a powerful club again.......

Next thing will be no Carlton player ever leaves this footy club and we never rebuild..

And for the persecuted mentality we have now... pffffft.... lol

Spare me...!!!!

STKILDA all the way....!!!

...and the arrogance in thinking we deserve to be so much better than St Kilda in an equalised league. We are Carlton f@#k the rest !!

We should be better.
Heritage
Pedigree
Supporter base
etc etc etc....

Even in a standardised comp... some are better than others.

Thats why we play off for a flag....

But its what the people piloting the craft are doing that determines who is better and who is average.
We have a leg up on the Saints... but woe is us!!!

It would be a shame it he retired this year. On a positive note though it would free up lots of salary cap space and we could go after a free agent.

Maybe he'll move Twiggers and co to the Gold Coast for a few twilight years and play alongside Gary Jnr... what a ridiculous line-up that would be... Gary Jnr and Judd in the same team.

That's the thing, I don't know if it would. It seems that Judd's contract was pretty heavily front-ended, so in terms of current cap space he probably doesn't take up mearly as much as we (not to mention the bogans and no-shows) think.

You get the feeling that his hamstrings are going to start to become a problem and we might dodge a bullet if he decides to hang up the boots. I don't think MM will mind after what he went through with Buckley at the end of his career.
It will free up salary cap room as has been pointed out.

I hope he has a blinder of a season and then stays on for another year.

I wouldnt be writing his epitath just yet.
Juddy has plenty of footy left in him and I'm sure he'll get over this minor hiccup. The bloke is still a gun and we're a long way from being fine without him.

Quote:
While the AFL and Blues would not comment, there is speculation the Blues were allowed to use their injury allowance partly as a trade-off for not being told until October 22 – the final days of the trade period – that the money would no longer be excluded from the salary cap.

This meant they had no time to trade a player out to accommodate the payments.

The Blues are still frustrated over this sudden ruling by the AFL's former operations manager Adrian Anderson, having had the deal signed off for the previous five seasons.

Quote:
The decision to allow part of Judd's payment to be included as part of injury payments has surprised some industry insiders, although it's understood Geelong's Joel Selwood and Collingwood's Dane Swan have similar deals.

But only Judds deal is in anyway construed as shady and untoward by the AFL media and the public.

So like the Hulkster says keep taking your vitamins and peptides and remember only Carlton cheats.
