I'd play Gibbs on him (Hill).

Don't get it! 3 ruck man don't work.

I don't like playing Carrots either. He is coming back from a serious injury and we have a bye next week. How desperate are we?

Feel for Bootsma and Lucas.

Geez ... I totally agree with you.

Any chance the emergencies will get a run with the NBs on the Sunday?

3 ruckman dont work? It is all we got right now.
In the offseason CFC didn't want to pick up flags fevola or trade for a key forward and all the talk on talkingcarlton was that we have flags hampson in forward line and kruzer will play most the time in the forwardline.

So we got what we got.

Season on the line tomorrow night.
Time to stand and deliver is NOW.
There is no tomorrow if we lose.
Time to see what we are made off.
How bad does this group want success?
It's now or never!!!

Just as an aside, can someone in the know tell me what Andrew McKay's role at the club is in terms of coaching. I know his title is General Football Manager of Operations - I'm sure he's doing a great job and probably is the only 'Carlton' person in a position of power at the club that I actually am comfortable with being there.

I just want an answer on this coaching point - I just watched team selection video on the website which he does every week, wearing a carlton training top with 'AM' on it like the coaches do. Nothing wrong with this obviously (although I don't know if Sticks has an 'SK' top or Swanny a 'GS') but just reminded me of the times I see him in the coaches box sitting next to Ratts (when Ratts is up there) or otherwise in club gear (not a suit) with a set of headphones on. Don't ever recall Stephen Icke doing this in his role nor do I recall other General Managers doing it? Does he not trust Ratten to do his job? Or is he volunteering his time and effort to some aspects of coaching outside the scope of his role as General Football Manager?

Anyone know what is behind it all?

Lucas and Joesph will play for the Bullants on Sunday.

Bootsma will stay in WA for a few extra days to catch up with family.

Carrazzo and Scotland will both definitely play.

Bootsma may come in for Warnock if really wet.

Kreuzer to play injured.

All I know is that when interviewed about their respective levels of authority at the club McKay said that Ratten and himself are on the same level - which to me is just plain wrong.

I noticed a guy helping our with coaching today. Had the same rig on as all the boys and I could have sworn it was McKay.

Might just be a matter of all hands on deck when you go interstate, but I thought it was unusual. If it was him that is.

Can disagree with any of that. I was very keen for Fev in the interest of winning games of footy, way ore important than simply looking squeaky clean image-wise, but hey, a pile of ruckman will work, not to mention the long bombs to Eddie Betts  .

So, yes, it's all we've got. You make your bed.......

Ok, let me explain the Perth weather .

It's been storms and rain for the last 4 days BUT in that 100 hr period it's probably rained for 5 hrs and that includes slight and heavy showers.

Subi oval drains like no other ground.

So effectively it's a 90% chance of no rain and if it does it will piss down for 5 minutes and then stop and the ground will dry.

That's typical Perth winter weather. I played 10 years of footy and I reckon i was rained on less than a dozen times. It doesn't happen.

The big factor is the wind. If its still blustery you need flat hard kicks, but most of all you must run the ball as much as you can. Subi is long and skinny and if you turn it over against the breeze it will sailing back over your head in 10 seconds.

You just brought back some nightmares. The shanked kick out of the backline that helicopters into the breeze, veers violently to the right, misses target by 10 metres both short and wide only to be scooped up by opportunistic forward for a roost with the wind through the big sticks.

An intriguing game tomorrow night. One thing for sure, there is zero love between the teams and even less as far as the supporters are concerned.

We've been a rabble of late but a win against the odds tomorrow could work wonders for the run home.

Tipping a drawn game.

Maybe Ratts is talking about height. They see eye to eye.
