No what it shows is what a mental game the AFL is at the moment. We thrash the Pies. The Crows thrash us. The Pies thrash the Crows.

Dangerfield is the best thing since sliced bread 1 week, the next he has little impact. AFL is all between the ears. The Hawks will beat the Tigers 8/10 games but today they were off the boil. Such is life in the AFL. 22 weeks is a damn long time.

Regards Cazzesman

Without doubt.

But some performances are better and more important than others.

The Pies game tonight was as big a statement as has been made this year.

Lets keep the guys that got us such guns as Brock Mclean and released average players such as shaun grigg

Do you actually ever get embarrassed about how banal your posts are?

Agree Cazz on your analysis
But it also shows the only game the whole season we have reached our full potential mentally physically tactically is against the Pies
Can forgive the odd loss or two but last 2 weeks especially disappointing
I think we in the perfect world are a top 4 side which was amply demonstrated against Pies
Rest of year really played like bottom of the 8 side or worse
Should expect more from this team

Cheap shot! I suppose we can all come up with examples that suit an arguement. Laidler and henderson for example.

That said rendall is a great recruiter, adelaide certainly have a very balanced list. However if tambling is an example of trading then see i can come up with negative examples for him too.

Agree.

Two weeks is just a moment in time over a 22 round season.
Got to judge a season over the 22 weeks, and the interim matches as opportunities to sharpen the sword.

Anything can happen on any given week....that's what season 2012 is proving.
Injury does play a huge role, but not as big as what goes on between the ears.
Why couldn't Dangerfield get up for this most important game against the Pies at home? Spent mentally? Physically?
Did we really do that much damage o him last week? OR is Dangerfield weak between the ears?, or both? something else?

Dangerfield... well the Pois identified his strengths from last week and as such nullified his effectiveness, mind you he still had 7 clearances, equal best. We rolled out the red carpet every time he got hands to the ball.

The Pois also structured up very well, especially by putting numbers to spots on the ground that the Crows like to go... they had a plan.

Last week the Crows identified that reducing our uncontested marking stopped our run... they also had a plan.

To me it seems that we're just happy to play our style and let the opposition worry about it... well, at least we'll always have the rd3 win to flap over.
