Yes.

Would've thought late 2nd round, early 3rd round myself. But yeah, if we could somehow land pick 9 for Murphy I'd be over the moon. Maybe we could throw in Krueze and get pick 7 as well.

Oooh, we'd be set then.

Why have a press conference to confirm nothing? Pointless exercise that continues the speculation.

Perhaps to pump up GWS offer.

A six year deal on top money would be hard to pass up and i wouldnt blame him if he left. Mad not to.

Agree. It is got to be a largely professional decision. I would not trust the current club management to look after his best interests, especially after leaving Fisher hanging dry on 99 games.

FFS, every game must be earned.

Fair enough but then adopt the philosophy consistently. And, in that case, Ratten should have been sacked 2 years ago etc etc etc

Reported or rumoured?

Don't you just love the new teams.

Would you rather hear he's signed with GWS?

Just like last year, no news isn't bad news.

In your world, it is fine for the coach to be cut slack big time because he is ex Carlton player but no flexibility shown to a player stuck on 99 games ???

Hey guys...

Don't want to bring up old news, but is anybody else still worried or have we moved on? As each game goes by I get more and more worried that Murph won't be in the Navy blue next year. On the bright side the players who moved to GCFC are having a horrible time :-)

Anybody heard anything? Even the footy comentators have gone quiet!

But it could also indicate he isn't going to sign with CFC

Remember a guy named Ablett??

Obviously the sooner he signs the better, but I'm not too worried.
Of the guys who went to GC, all except Harbrow (who was returning home) had issues with their club.
I haven't heard that Murphy has a problem with Ratts, but lets be honest, we're going to have a successful year or Ratts is gone anyway.

GWS will be a footballing wasteland for years, that's the decision he has to make, he'll basically be a nobody in a crap side coached by an flower.

I said it earlierinthe thread, a friend of mine is family friends with Murphy and his family, and he is very confident he'll re-sign with the Blues. When I asked him he laughed and shook his head. He mentioned the renovations Murphy is currently undertaking at and paying for at his home.

Could mean something, could mean nothing, but what I hear, however 2nd or 3rd hand, is that he's staying.

When I was at the sponsors dinner, murph told another player's sponsor that he was staying. This guy was a bit drunk but he relayed a word for word conversation that left me pretty confident.

Murphy is going nowhere.

He doesnt even like falafel.
