Just the amateurs who appointed the amateur Ratten are the ones to blame for this.

If this is not Keystone Cops stuff.....

Should have accepted the two weeks,

He should have stated that he didn't eye gouge however he should not have put his hand in his face stupid thing to do and I'll cop the 2. Should have been put to rest early, this will tarnish the champ.

Stupid decision by the club to take it to the tribunal in the first place. Now we have no choice but to appeal. He could get off on a technicality if it has been deemed as 'eye gouging' by the tribunal. There is no evidence of that so it's not over yet.

lol, this wasnt an appeal, this was the case being heard for the first time after Judd didnt want to take the 3 weeks.

i will say it again.

how a bloke can get 3 weeks for touching a face, and doing zero harm, compared to a bloke who hip and shoulder another and ko's and only gets two weeks.

is utterly beyond my comprehension.

it shows how stupid this system is.

its like a bloke stealing a packet of chips from a pub, and another bloke robbing a bank, and both getting 10 years, becuase its "stealing"

flower retarded system. hope the club does everything in its power to get it thrown out.

A Juddy brain fade.. which was dumb.
Allowing him to comment was dumb...
Appealing the original 2 weeks to have it upgraded to 3 weeks was dumb.

Thinking its going to be "thrown out" is dumb...

Just another random event of AFL. Like the bounce of the ball and the umpiring we just have to accept that not everything is going to go our way. Its up to the players now to not let it get to them and come out fighting. We will be better off playing a few without the champ. He will be better off after watching a few games also.

Even the dumbest supporter in the street would've said to take the 2 weeks on offer and shut up.
Murphy, Gibbs, Stevens and co. will need to step up big time in the first three rounds of next season. If we are staring at a 0-3 start then we can kiss our season goodbye very early indeed.

..bloody stupid, not even forest gump woulda tried to go the tribunal.... ..i agree, that the consistency of crime and punishment in the game is a joke, but if anything,, especially because it's such a complete and utter balls-up is the biggest reason we should have never contested it in the first place..

.. ..as myself and others have said, it was a bloody stupid thing to do [judd and judder], and now it will seem that whatever he did was worse, cos we're gonna remember the 3 week penalty, and not 2 weeks.. ..won't do his rep any good, and he can no longer be thought of as crystal clear..

I don't know exactly what the charge was. If it was eye gouging he is clearly innocent. If the charge was making unnecessary or innappropriate contact with the face of an opponent, he is guilty to a minor degree and possibly deserved a one match penalty.
I guess that you can line this one up with Barry Hall's innapropriate contact with Ben Rutten's face, which warranted the squeaky clean Swans forward with an unblemished record a whopping 2 weeks, for what was effectively a gutless king hit, as were most of his tough guy acts.
You have to scratch your head when it comes to the blatant incompetence and inconsistency of this system.

Will give us the opportunity to play without Judd and force others to step up, could be a blessing IMO.

I agree. With our season over, we can spend a lot of time in launching a very thorough appeal. One week maximum looks like the best scenario here and even that is harsh. Rischitelli didn't flinch at all and even if Judd did try to get his pressure point/eye-gouge him, it didn't hurt Rischitelli and it was extremely low contact. If you can suspend players for intent, then Campbell Brown should have been suspended for trying to clean up Daniel Wells.
