I want DP gone as much as the next bloke,BUT, all the personal abuse toward him is starting to wear a bit thin. Does everyone think he is deliberately trying to stuff the club? I mean that's a great career move for him.
I don't know him, but he may be a good bloke trying his best.

flower Denis, is all real intelligent stuff. The stuff you'd find on Nick's Pies Page. I was recently warned for calling a Pies fan, who we allow on this site, an IDIOT. Figure that one out.
Let's have some faith in the new admin, i'm sure they'll make the correct decision at the right time

I agree with Mark J, let's wait and see how things pan out until the end of the season and let our admin people like Swannie, Icke, Sticks and Co. make the right call for the club to go forward.

That bloody priority pick is looking so tempting though.

Denis wants two more years so that he can see the kids come through.

For Carltons sake, Id go for the priority pick and let Pagan stay. But we are looking at a man that is very stubborn and will fight to the botter end.

Which is why I have always said about the inevitable sacking - is that it is a controversial one.

If we have a group of players that that hate Denis and a coach that has a skin as thick as a Rhinoceros and throw in a football dept and president that are soon to reach breaking point if there are any more losses.

Then look at a draw which promises plenty more losses - and Id say we have a gret recipe for extreme controversy and a sacking - either a decapitation now to appease the membership, or at the end of the season with dignity and a priority pick.

I sincerely hope that the club doesnt retain Pagan for the sack of avoiding a bit of 'controversy'. Arguably it would be more controversial if we retained pagan in the chase for a priority pick.

Speaking of which, I really dont give a shit about the priority pick (though I accept that it will mean a very good player). I'm more interested in being able to have a bit of dignity when I tell people that I'm a blues supporter. For the past few years I havent been able to do that due to the lacklustre performance of the club both on and off the field (on field = application, not results).

Retaining a coach who has presided over as many 10+goal losses as he has wins over the previous 5 seasons for the sake of his 'dignity' is ludicrous to say the least.

Someone's mentioned on here previously that Sheahan is right in Pagan's corner, and this article does nothing to dispel that thought...

On SEN just now KB said that rumour is that Carlton has interviewed Voss 3 times already.. He also mentioned McKenna as the coach if Voss doesnt get the gig.

Is that if Voss doesn't get the gig or ends up in the big house?

If KB is right and we've interviewed Voss three times... and if the Club has decided that Voss is the man for the job, then it becomes almost impossible to remove Pagan before the end of the season. What would we do, put Ratten in charge for 7 weeks and then tell him that we won't have him as senior coach?

The more the rumours of Voss continue to mount, the more certain I become that DP won't be sacked before season's end.

I heard Malthouse post match press conference after Pies loss to Hawks. When asked by journo if teams injury list was the reason for loss his response was brilliant - " No! Thats nonsense. Its 22 on 22. There are no excuses for loss".

Why can't Pagan take that approach ??

For Chris sakes, DP must go. He's got me in awe off our old enemy.
This is NOT right. I need an aspirin...fast.

Let him see out the remaining 7 weeks and then its over to you Sir Michael Voss.

Rome wasn't built in a day. Sir Michael Voss the messiah? The Proof will be in the pudding. Whoever the coach is, from day one will have the acid test put on him and the Carlton faithful like you and i will be throwing knives at him 'mark my words' at the end of round 22 2008 if we haven't won a few more games that we have this year. I too have really begun to wonder about Pagan's coaching performances, however, i really doubt that there would have been another coach around that could have done much better. Slam me if you want!! Pagan's previous record witn North and U19's speak for itself, shit he came to the arse end of the world when he arrived at Carlton, the laughing stock of the league and has put up with a hell of alot, more than most of you and i can ever imagine or have gone through. Yes, maybe it is time to move on, but he wears Carlton on his heart and sleeve. He has had to work with alot of arseholes at the administration and management level at the CFC and his job would have been alot easier if we at Carlton from the outset had OUR HOUSE in ORDER. Mark my words if he gets a gig at another decent club they will be playing finals football and probably go all the way to a GrandFinal.

God help the next coach who comes to this club. He too will be in for the ride of His life. From Day 1 the Carlton faithful will be breathing down his neck. The Carlton 'Faithful' need their messiah to lead them out of EGYPT into the Promised land. They have stoned MOSES 'Pagan' and are looking for their next messiah. SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!! Good luck because we will need it. Who is the Chosen ONe Carltonians??? As Arnie said 'NO PAIN NO GAIN', Blues more pain to come, no quick fix mentality.

All i want to see next year is an improvement in player development.

I want our players playing with confindece and really playing as a team rather than individuals...

I wanted to see the above this year, but we just continue with the same weak MC decisions... and drop kids after 20 minutes of game time!

Hes been here for 5 years with the losinest record of any coach ever at Carlton.
Denis is not for Carlton.... Ron Barassi knew that forty years ago...

According to http://afl.allthestats.com/ Pagan has the worst record of any coach to have coached Carlton for more than 3 games.

Coach: Pagan, Denis
G: 102
W: 25
L: 75
D: 2
W%: 25.49

If fact there are only two Carlton coaches that have a worse record; and they only coached Carlton for 2 games and 3 games.

Worst coach ever at Carlton!!

Settled then.. his record at the club is shithouse!
Thats just not going to change no matter how long Denis stays.
Nobody believes in Denis .

I dont give a shit how good his record was before he came.. he is only as good as his recent history in terms of how he is rated for us.

Its poor!!!

I really thought a guy like Denis would be proud enough to know when to let go...

The problem with us recently has been that too many people dont know when to let go....

Its time for change!!!... across many layers of the club...

There can be no new dawn if the sun does not set before it.
