I can't see that.

He's got to be 6+ weeks just to be match fit and form has to warrant selection.

Docherty played his first VFL game in the AFL round 3 and debuted for Carlton in AFL round 7. From memory he missed similar amounts of preseason to what Plowman has.

I'm pretty confident that nothing we've done this pre-season matches up with your timeline, but that being said, a month from now he would have played for 6 weeks.

Thinking after the VFL game yesterday Plowman, Sumner, and Jaksch will be in the best 22. All 3 looked good and are top 10 picks, although Jaksch's kicking was pretty bad. As will Byrne and maybe even SOS jnr later on.

Perhaps more of us should be buying northern blues memberships...hard to see Jamo, white and Rowe all being in the magoos...can't play the kids too prematurely.

Glass-McCasker was pretty good in defence apparently too.

Not that good; he needs 18 months.

Nevertheless there's a good chance he can turn out good if he's developed properly.
Give him time. He looks the goods as a young man amongst young men.

Add Weitering Plowman and Jaksch to the defence and it could turn out fixed quicker than expected.

No doubt we need to replace Jamison Rowe and White. The sooner the better but for now hope they just hang in there.

Which would be fine if I was talking about Plowman.

I was talking about Sumner who's not in the same condition as Plowman.

Current best 22

Byrne Plowman White
Simpson Weitering Docherty
Sumner Cripps E. Curnow
Kerridge Jaksch C.Curnow
Walker Casboult Wright

Kreuzer Murphy Gibbs

DVR, Boekhorst, Cunningham, Graham

Right now only just Kreuzer ahead of Wood. Gibbs is too lazy too but suppose one has to pick him.

Might be a couple not quite match fit yet but eventually like their side. Adds alot more pace and run. Spine looks better too.

I guess this week it's Jamison's turn to be underestimated

Looking forward to seeing Sumner getting a go as well , from all reports probably still a few weeks away from seniors to get his match fitness up...

Jamison is OK, Rowe is a liability down back. Try him forward. Plowman should be getting a go next couple of weeks, this week if he's ready..

I like this side plenty of pace and more balance with plowman and jacksh in and the big red out

If only we had a Fev. What a player he was ...

http://www.carltonfc.com.au/video/2016- ... r-comeback

He would probably still be a better forward option in our 22.
