Good to see he did his research.

The facts are there in front of them but they don't want to see them.
Caro of FC last night said none of those currently injured were there in the pre season when we were winning.
What. so best 18 players Marchbank, Byrne, Murphy and Pickett weren't there ?
Seasoned bloody journos deliberately ignoring the facts.
And Robbo is another one. Going on about us trading out players as far back as Jacobs and JK, when that's got nothing to do with SOS and Bolton. Then the idiot says we should trade out Murphy for another pick. Contradicts himself. Moron.

Don't let the facts get in the way of a good story.

At least the weatherman gets it right sometimes.

I'd like to know why they stuck with Bruce as defensive line coach after Docherty went down. Take your two best playmakers out, and you're left largely with a group mostly under 50 games experience each. Unfair to both the new bloke at the club and the backline group to try and make do with each other, despite a lack of unfamiliarity. Surely it would have been prudent to give an incumbent assistant the role for the year (Barker for arguments sake) and review later in the year?

Now left with two senior assistants clearly hunting a senior coaching position elsewhere given far too much leeway to do what they've had success with elsewhere, and a not-so-senior coach without the necessary tenure or club backing to do as his job suggests.

Who knows from the outside? But I too am far more concerned with our Defensive coach than I am with Bolton. Because despite the tinkering with ball movement and injuries, we've gone from a strong defensive unit to a broken one. Presumably Bruce has to carry some responsibility. Both Jones and Weitering look lost out there as well.

What do you expext when we have Tom Williamson, Sam Docherty, Caleb Marchbank, Alex Silvagni and Ciaran Byrne all on the sidelines.

Geez

That's literally my point. You've got a bunch of kids, why give them a coach who has no real knowledge of them, when at least Barker's coached them for 2-3 years.

Defend the indefensible?

I agree there is some spin in the messages, but the fact is they have come out and voiced their support of the path we are taking whilst acknowledging the pain we have felt and will likely continue to feel.

Having the likes of MLG etc getting messages out is hardly scrambling or defending the indefensible.

What were they supposed to do? Be silent and let the media hang Bolton?????

I'm not alone, nor stating anything new here. I was against appointing a coach with no prior AFL playing or coaching history (excluding Hawthorn work experience stints).
The task at hand needed a proven, successful coach, with experience not just at AFL level, but experience in building a team from scratch.
As nice a bloke as BB is, and for all his efforts, he cannot coach at this level. After 48 games I've seen enough.
More concerning than actual losses is the impact of these losses, lack of leadership and functional game plane on the development of draftees from the last 3 years.

Have you compared the size of our kids against their opponents.
I think there lies the problem.
Our kids dont have enough senior bodies to cover for them.

Actually I don't think Liddle, McKay and MLG have been anywhere near visible enough.

Juddy has been selling the message pretty hard for a while now.

We know MLG rarely gives an interview or makes a statement (and when he does he bungles it) but does Cain Liddle exist?

All these guys need to be reinforcing the message.......................if they believe it.

But they will not regurgitate the same line over and over and over again, as we have seen it gets you no where, as we have seen with the 3 couch coaches ( tc's own version of the 3 amigo's )never coached a successful team in any sport in their lives and think they know the lot. Imbeciles, worse than the media cretins. I know who i will listen to and it is not the sound of my own voice in front of a keyboard.

5. We have no plan B or C.

6. Decision Making is horrendous.

7. I am still hopeful Bolton will bring this all together ... but from the outside it looks like he has lost the players.

'Cohesion' , or lack of it, is a logical factor no doubt.

Another logical factor that I see is the coughing up of possession time and time again.

Whether it's just blindly throwing the ball on the boot or fumbling the ground ball or failing to even halve a one on one contest. These are individual fundamentals that most of the time basically come down to concentration and effort.

Liddle was interviewed on Ch. 7 news last night. So we had Judd on 9 backing us up and Liddle on 7 backing us up.
