Now that geelong are nearly level with port on %, port are going to be going all out to win regardless of GWS position.

I haven't done the numbers however I believe Port can lose by up to 5 goals or so?
If the game is close they probably won't have the same desperation to win.

Bedford and Daniels both late outs for GWS.Playing Hawks option is even more unlikely now. Giants won't travel finishing 4th so it's now almost a dead rubber for them.
They'd still be at more of an advantage finishing second & hosting a visiting team. They've still got plenty of skin in this game

Yes but if they beat the Dogs then a Port win probably means an Adelaide trip unless there's a % swing. 2nd>4th>3rd but only 4th can be guaranteed.

Carlton’s Mitch McGovern in serious doubt to play against the Saints in their must win match at Marvel Stadium with a hamstring problem.

The Blues are giving him every chance to get up and play but he according to a source close to McGovern he is more unlikely than likely to play.

I think they’ve been reading TC and took note of the Hamill story.

Yes but I guess the risk is if they win then Port will want to win, and they could finish 3rd depending on %.
Especially if WE win which means Freo are done.

If Port lose 70 - 91, they'll drop below Geelong on %

They'll be trying to win.

Also a 9+ goal win to GWS would put them ahead of Port percentage so Port would need to win with margin to regain second

Anyone done the maths if there's drawn games?

Should Doggies and Saints win then a draw or a close Freo win works out perfectly for both Freo and Port

The future is in our hands... and that's the way I like it

If we get flogged today then we have no business playing finals... couldn't care less about other games

Qualification is your points over the whole season though. If us & freo both lose today then we qualify & deserve to be just in.

Hope this doesn't mean Kemp goes back.

At least we'll stay unpredictable out of necessity

Club is cursed

Can’t remember the last year where we had a good injury run. It’s the biggest indicator of likely success or not. Look at the Hawks.

Although, we weren’t playing great footy with most of the list available. It’s just gone pear shaped when we could least afford it.
