John Barker (senior assistant coach) is the first one to go if the club’s serious. His coaching CV is full of failure. Hawks let him go for good reason.

This half we need to isolate McGovern to see if he can play at all....he’s always trying to compete with Harry and/or Levi. Give him space to lead into, not just bomb it in ad nauseum.

Players getting smashed in contested ball and then won’t defend when the Crows get it.
Horrible coaching. Teague, do something.
McGovern should be moved on. Horrible for the culture to have a bloke on 800k taking the piss and can’t geg a touch.
Why play Docherty with his calf niggle? Happened last week with Martin. That’s on Russell

Kicking efficiency is a reflection of what options the players have available up the ground.

Clearly Carlton players don't have many options when they kick inside 50 - it's clear for all to see - and the lack of options is a reflection on the coaches. They are there to teach players to make space for each other, to create options - it's obvious that isn't happening today, and hasn't happened for large parts of the year.

That's the problem with wins like last week - they paper over the massive cracks.

Some people within the club simply don’t have a clue about what makes a club successful in the modern age.
That’s the underlying problem I have been trying to make for the last 15 years.
We feel we are big club so we fly Shiel around in a jet . Then he knocks us back so we get Mc Govern

Sad thing is a coach isn't going to turn the shit we have produced for years in a season. Old habits come back sometimes. Got to look at the ones who don't want it badly enough. Can't complain about a 13-13 record but some days your cattle just turn up their toes. Coach's are supposed to get the team up but some days they just won't do it. When it's been a habit for years it comes back to bite you. We've been alot better fighting out games, today is just not one of them.
