Just as an aside. Are Port sponsored by a tanning salon?

Eddie Betts surely kicked the goal of the season in the 3rd quarter.

Amazing skills.

Happy with Bryce Gibbs's game- can be damaging with his disposals. Hopefully his confidence has lifted even further.

Run and carry...here we come. keep it going.

Bell - good stuff.

Best Carlton win in 10 years (excluding finals win over Essendon* two years ago).

Not sure about Mick's comments regarding the rucks. Kreuzer's effort, contest to contest, was in another universe compared to Warnock's. If Kreuze was 100% fit you'd play him solo with Hendo supporting at stoppages, but right now you have to play both of them.

..testament to krooz's character and on-field leadership.. ..an off night, missed marks [and the obligatory F50 'arms chop' that goes unrewarded], played little ruck-time which reduced his ability to be part of possession chains.. ..but he ran back hard to help the defence numerous times, helped stop the tide with defensive repeat efforts in def50, and when the ball got out he was contesting moments later in the F50.. ..works his bum off, and one of a few players that will exhaust himself every match.. ..was a big part of increasing the defensive pressure up fwd in the 3rd Q which started to turn the tide of momentum back into our favour.. ..that contested mark and pressure goal he kicked to stop the run of behinds was important..

..and yet, he knew it was an off night and he worked to apply pressure and tackles and help the team even though he wasn't getting much ball.. .but he genuinely struggles as a 2nd ruck.. ..he doesn't have natural KPF craft, he's an onballer after ruck, not a KPP.. ..and so he needs to be in the action.. ..but you might get a reduced individual performance but if he played half ruck, half kpp you'd get some return.. ..but as a 2nd ruck he struggles to be in the play enough.. ..and knockers, can't play anything except fulltime ruck.. ..the worst tall up fwd on our list by a mile.. ..and so he cant play halftime ruck and share a 50/50 ruck combo split with krooz, or any ruck for that matter..

..out of either knockers or krooz as 1st ruck, i choose krooz.. ..knockers when not in the ruck is a liability..

..agreed, happy with doogs games since his return actually.. ..missed some snaps at goal, but has given himself opportunity and around the stoppages has been hitting contests with ferocity.. ..and we lack ferocity.. ..some players might fluff a disposal, or be done on touches every now and then, but in a team sport you need players that bring pressure, hardness and intensity.. ..because these can spread thru the team, and while a player like doogs, and/or robbo, bell may not be afl skill to what we want, but our team needs them in, until we can replace them with better skilled players bringing the same ferocity..

You can have my bar code if you like. I'm an interstate member, I don't know if that gets you better seats.

Jake, it must be the luck of the draw.
my brother gets our tix and he got great seats in the Olympic Stand.
Similar to the unreserved Social Club members seats we get, but opposite side.
Did you queue or go on line?
I'm not sure what he did, but I'll find out.
Maybe try again, because seats get put back all the time.

I jumped on at 9.30 and got a seat in N8 In the southern stand. Level 2.
I'm only a silver member, too. I think all the good members area seats went very early.

I tried for half an hour and got no where so I just booked them. Really quite disgruntled to be honest. To be fair I should have got on at 9am, but still I really think social club members should get a preference to lower levels. I'd be happy with anything on level 1 or 2. We're stuck in 4. We pay over $600 a year for a membership and there's 6 of us. Don know whether it's the clubs fault or the AFLs, but this sort of thing makes me seriously wonder if our money could be better spent elsewhere

Im a social club member, and got level 1. Been trying since 9 am and got them at about 9.45am. Luck of the draw really. But Jake you are right. Social club members should be priority for level 1 & 2. But dont think club has a say in this.

Yep, I feel for you. Seriously might be worth trying again, you could always offload the tix you have now.

I reckon it was in. Only 9/10ths of the ball was over the line. The other 1/10th of the ball was clearly above the line - hence play on.

but yeah I get your point.

With Harmes the ball was at least 30 -60 cms in from the boundary line. Play on I say.

Eddie McGuire has a statutory declaration from the Doorman at the Hilton Hotel in Wellington Parade who swears he saw Wayne Harmes tap it pack from the entrance of the Hotel in front.

Why did Port play Westoff / Napoleon Dynamite in defence? If they played him forward I think they would've won. Stiff cheddar.

Was at the game and @#$%&! me...I was getting shit from the Wharfie flowers around me in the Members (mind you I gave it back), and then half way through the third the Blues started to click...

The last quarter was excellent. The Carlton crowd really got up and about and made some @#$%&! noise, the Port Wharfies shut up and BANG!

Gibbs' goal in the last reminded me so much of his old man...casual stroll, look around, comb the mo and WOOSHKA!

Murph & Yarran supurb. Need to go with the smaller line up forward with Knockers & Kruezer playing...
