getting sick of commentators criticising eagles fans for booing Watson - the bloke is a self-confessed drug cheat FFS. deserves all the booing he gets

For once I want to see us pushed back into their half absorbing the pressure and scoring on the slingshot with an open forward line.
Coaching against would be so easy.

Carlton and our own forward press is a match made in hell. Teams know we can have it in our half all we want but they themselves have a better chance in scoring a goal. That is why there is no point counting inside 50's. Opposition just sit back and watch us burn out.

Agreed club but Richards just sits back. Lets Waite push up and lets it come to him.

There is not enough effort to push back defensively.

Been one of our best players tonight... okay, one of our least bad.

Plenty of Blues need to take a look at themselves. Garlett and Betts have been beyond useless in a game where clever little players should thrive. Some of these soft buggers look like they want to put on their slippers and drink a cup of cocoa. Speaking of which...

He's played well in many big games, he starred against the Pies both games last year.

Small forwards always have off days.

Eddie has struggled due to lack of game time this year.

Reckon Eddie is going the way of Duigan. Happens pretty quick you know.....

Yarran the sub is biggest joke since..........well, the last time he was sub. Flower off Mick, he's learnt his lesson and the CFC have been made to pay inc the game we should have won against the Bummers if he'd played all game.

Garlett needs a rest big time, and Curnow is just Curnow.

That decision is absolutely correct.
Why?
Malcevski didn't feel the pressure cause he stood there for a second or two on the goal line checking out his options. When the tackle came, he stepped back. If he was under real pressure, he should've stepped back from the start.

Just tuned in during the second quarter but when are we going to go direct to goal - kicking to flanks and trying for dry weather footy.

kick it at the goals and put on some pressure on the defence.... and maybe have a guy behind the pack as all the balls are spilling there.

boots is killing it. leading goal kicker for us and I counted two contested marks so he must be leading that too.

sound like we are swimming time with the tide in the last, so I reckon we will come home with a wet sail.

So we shouldn't hit the boundary?

Instead of posting insightful one line comments like "WE SUCK", "WE ARE SOFT", "@$&6r9724r" and "I AM AN IMBECILE", here are my thoughts:

We have kicked blindly too many times. Yep, it's wet weather football and getting it forward is the #1 priority, but players need to look up BEFORE kicking.

One too many handballs too. Far too wet for that.

Pressure inside our F50 has been good for the most part. Need more players to put on shepherds for someone to take clear possession.

Henderson the standout player for me so far.

Swans are playing the best football to suit the conditions, but if it stops raining and we adjust we are still not far off. Hoping we have a bigger second half considering the week off. Less taggers and more running in twos and threes to force the ball forward.

or cleared the line. Had plenty of time, created his own pressure - intentionally. Correct call.
