So we are flower keeping the 3 ruck men again. Look for WestCoast to easily coast out of our forward line again. Especially in the wet....

Omg hope we have a plan this week.

Cmon Blues ! Let's keep the faith.....

Don't get it! 3 ruck man don't work.

I don't like playing Carrots either. He is coming back from a serious injury and we have a bye next week. How desperate are we?

Feel for Bootsma and Lucas.

BENCH: Carrots - Army - McLean - Collins

I'd expect Carrots to be sub.

So in other words, with the weather and the carazzo/scotland situation every chance of a late change...who are our emergencies?

Easy exits probably have more to do with us pushing blokes up the ground to match the opposition one for one as they try the congestion tactics. Probably better for us they we do push them up although getting it in too quick can get us in trouble as the mids and small forwards are not there to hold it in.
IMO we need to win possession and then time our entries a lot better than what we have been.

The third ruck is just a tall player replacing Waite. He isnt that crash hot on defensive pressure either but we have managed to keep it in in the past.

I don't know much about calf strains but he went at 100% at training . Not the slightest hint of nursing it.

If anything it was Carrots who was taking it easy compared to the rest of the group.

Was watching the Pies V us game where we won.
Hammer was great in that game.
Let's hope he finds his mojo again on the big ground.

For all this talk of inclement weather, West Coast have gone pretty tall, too.

Ok, let me explain the Perth weather .

It's been storms and rain for the last 4 days BUT in that 100 hr period it's probably rained for 5 hrs and that includes slight and heavy showers.

Subi oval drains like no other ground.

So effectively it's a 90% chance of no rain and if it does it will piss down for 5 minutes and then stop and the ground will dry.

That's typical Perth winter weather. I played 10 years of footy and I reckon i was rained on less than a dozen times. It doesn't happen.

The big factor is the wind. If its still blustery you need flat hard kicks, but most of all you must run the ball as much as you can. Subi is long and skinny and if you turn it over against the breeze it will sailing back over your head in 10 seconds.

Great to hve Carrazzo and Scotland back.
No surprises for me.
I wouldn't have included Collins against the big bodied WCE.
3 rucks is more like 1 ruck 1 FF and 1 rotating ruckman at FP/interchange.
If Kreuzer was super fit, he'd be massive as a KP in the fwd line.
WCE will still be taller and bigger than us.
We have 4 rmidfielders on the bench.

Go Blues.
Got my fingers crossed.
Just as they got us in Melbourne last year, we might get them back on our 'home' ground.
Or should I say, Carlton friendly ground.

3 reasons why we should win:

1: Weather seems to favour us.
2. Faster team
3. Ground favourable to both teams.
4. We have to improve on last week and get back in the 8.
5. We haven't won for nearly 3 weeks, and a win's getting closer.

Carlton by 6 points, against the odds.
We have to win and the team looks fast
