Did Gale actually say that?
If he did. What a fool.

Indeed he did. Almost as stupid a statement as Carlton having a Strategic Objective of having the 'highest yielding members (of Victorian AFL clubs)' by 2015.

Ludicrous, ridiculous...completely lacking in logic.

The two things Brendan Gale has in his favour as he madly covets Adrian Anderson's job at AFL HQ is he even more incompetent than Anderson and he can insert his nose even farther up Demetrispew's arse than Anderson.

AFL admin seems to be a wasteland of people who have NFI about business.

Does that mean extracting the most amount of cash per member?

Not sure how you managed to potshot Carlton again then when talking about Gale, but well done.

Somewhat Brizzy, just after an estimate through to future figures (i.e. June). Should be in there somewhere, but I can't be bothered opening Excel to work it out for you. :P

I can see a rough idea based on that though, thanks!

Cheers Brizzy, now everyone can see what I saw in the figures. ;)

We were ambitious but hopefully the club and the membership department pay attention and continue to revise their packages and processes once more. In particular:

- The reserve seating allocation process
- The membership packs and mail outs, the pricing of some add-on memberships like AFL Member club support and the MCC tack-on deal (which is not cost-effective at all)
- The appalling treatment of international members and lack of a membership package that could suit them (tie it in with a subscription service to http://www.afl.livesport.tv/ ?)
- The quality of service in the call centre, which seems to have poor wait times, follow ups and the odd uncorrected entry into another club's DB. It's obviously outsourced, so why we can't get them to push a handful of people off from a non-AFL client at peak times (November/December and the 2 weeks either side of round 1) I don't know.

I thought Jeannie was on the case...

Hawks break record
Quote:
Hawthorn Football Club is proud to announce it has surpassed its all-time greatest membership figure, recording 56,410 members yesterday.

The Club has beaten its previous record of 56,224 members, which was achieved on 30 June 2011, by almost three months and is on target for its stated goal of 60,000 members in 2012.

Response from supporters to the Club’s 2012 ALWAYS HAWTHORN campaign has been outstanding, with the current tally of 56,410 more than 4,500 ahead of the same time last year (2011: 51,898).

Hawthorn Chief Executive Stuart Fox was delighted to confirm the news, with the Club now focused on its next membership milestone.

“This record-breaking achievement is another encouraging step towards our target of 60,000 members, which the Club has a real possibility of achieving in 2012, ” Fox said.

We are WAAAAAAYYY behind still

Actually Hawthorn's membership tally is inflated with Tassie 4 game memberships. Maybe we can sell some games to Auckland or Cape Town and cash in on the Kiwi and South Africans with cheap membership options to boost our membership tally.

I'd say it's more to do with the premiership.

OK, I need to renew my membership this year but wanted to talk to the club because I've managed to turn both my kids from Dockers spuds to Blue bananas and want to know the best memberships for an interstate family.

The club is closed today and I'm comming for the game v Pies and a week later v scum BUT the ticketek website shows all good seating as "ëxhausted". Does this mean that there are good seats available but they are being held for members to buy OR have the members already bought them all?.

I've bought some cheap seats in the Ponsford stand as back-up just in case.

So does anyone know that if I sign the kids and I up tomorrow will there be better seats available coz we are now members?

Cheers.

Brought the tickets for the following week against the bummers. They are better but right behind the goals, does anyone know which end our delightful cheer squad sit?
