Feel for Davies. Don't think he's done a lot wrong. Left field selection to get there in the first place, but tough to drop him.

Wonder if they'll take the easy approach and rest Thornton or Duigan. Surely Russell doesn't play this week?

This might be a stupid question but if Jihad stadium is smaller do players run less?

Impossible to guarantee that.
If we get an early injury, he'll have to play the game out. the midfielders get rotated the most. As a defender, may have to play the bulk of the game..

He'd probably play forward if that were the case, as we do with Duigan sometimes.

Have no idea how they plan to make it work but Davies seems the unlucky one who will miss out. I don't think Setant will come in so might even just be the one change to the side still leaving us with plenty of run.

..who knows, maybe being smaller allows players to 'impact' more contests, they could possibly run even more.. ..would have to check distances run between the two venues..

If Jamo comes in for Davies, I see no reason why Russell can't come in for Touhy.

We will be a better team with Russell playing well. We are almost there, all we need is Waite back at the expense of some unlucky bastard.. Thornton?

Jamo and Russell vs Davies and Tuohy is a no contest. I hope they are the changes. That is NOT a knock on the two younger blokes, but it's all about here and now for us.

And I don't think we've been 'poor' at Etihad. Relatively, we've been below MCG standards, but we've also had some terrific wins there this year, and the venue should hold no fears for us, against anyone.

I think we'll get them by four goals.

Happy with that.

Glad Davies gets a crack at a really big game.

Blues by 9 points.

Hawks No change

Glad to see Davies left in the team - Backup in case Jamo breaks down.

Looking at the lineups I think that we are a real chance tomorrow night.

Bad luck Tuohy but probably not a real role for him at the moment. Seems that if you are a sub you are likely to get dropped the following week. Davies probably sub this week to make way for JR against Saints

Emergencies: Zach, Setanta, Russell

Davies hasn't done anything wrong but I'd prefer JR in the side.
