I don't see why people are getting so worked up over Houla, he's no "'A grade" player even if he has "'A grade skills. Great footballers win plenty of the footy to make use of those skills and if they don't their opponent usually does at this level.

NO PASSANGERS is our slogan right?!

While I respect what Houla has done over the years, especially the way he pulled his head in compared to Fev which is a huge effort, he is not the future and we must get games into guys that are.
Guys ike Tuohy, Armfield, Kerr, Lucas etc....

Not really...
I don't know him from Adam ...I just asked why Joseph wasn't playing the 2nd half... that was his HONEST response

I would have thought that playing in finals this year is a part of our future, as the finals have not happened yet.
Would therefore expect that Houla is both a part of our future, and expected to play in the finals for 2011.

To put it onto perspective for all the Houla lovers out there I think he is a squib. Sure he can use the ball, but he pulls out of too many contests. That's like being a man down, giving them extra 50/50 contests on a platter.

..hard word calling him a squib.. ..has he 'gone in short' in contests over the journey, yes unfortunately he has.. ..has your 'namesake' done the same, unfortunately yes he has too.. ..does that make either of them 'a squib?', not neccessarily.. ..it's quite interesting that you think the way you do, cos i see a lot of Hoops' in Yaz, i would also think that squibs dont generally play close to 200 afl games.. ..is hoops the answer or the missing piece to the puzzle?, who knows.. ..maybe, maybe not.. ..but there's still a role [or two/three] for hoops come match day of he's fit and firing..

Even if he was a squib (which I think is a lazy opinion based on events many years ago in a different team), Hoops wouldn't be alone in this team. Or have you missed efforts this very year by Yarran and Jeffy. Is anyone calling for their heads?

Give the bloke a chance. The more decent kicks we have forward of centre the better off we will be and Hoops is our best kick to a leading target.

We will win and win comfortably. The dogs have beaten no one of consequence this year, and have in fact been taken apart by decent teams. I think the Eagles winning on Friday will keep the boy's minds well and truly on the job at hand.

This guy weighing 140 Kgs and running flat out, um, is he a sumo wrestler or a footballer. He must be a funny looking guy. Sandilands is 120 Kgs and he's almost 7 foot tall. Either this guy is a giant or , which is more likely, he's a rolly polly 6 footer who moves at snails pace and has about one effort in him per game. Good job Yazza - you beat him to a ball. You must be a hell of a player!!!

More courageous than an Essendon* end of season trip!!!!!

And by the way, why don't you ever answer the questions I ask you?

Moshe I have already answered your question regarding fev... In regards to Pagan playing him I think he had a pretty crap list to chose from would'nt you say?

Houla has talent, but at this stage of his career lacks commitment. iMHO.

In regards to that fat bloke it was a SHEPPARD coming from the opposite direction at speed....read it again if you struggled the 1st time.

I might not of played AFL but at least I was no squib. Watch the west coast game, no need to go too far back at all... :

Houlihan was playing all that time Fev was so please don't try and pretend Fev had it hard and Houla had it easy. The reason Fev kicked goals in a losing team was because players like Houla gave it to him on a plate.

There have been plenty of Brownlows and B&Fs won by outside players or other players who took advantage of good ball delivery.

Yes it has, just comes down to whether Houla is in our best team or not, I'd say possibly as the sub
