Yeah Nahh

But you left out a " I spose"

A mate emailed me today asking whether Carlton will win for his footy tipping.

My response: "They haven't beaten them the last 6 times so I can't see why they'd start now"

Hendo on form or soreness/injury? I would really hate yet another good but inexperienced young bloke to go down with injury!

I really hope Carazzo and Walker are included in that general soreness group.
Both have been horrible in the last 7 weeks - mediocrity shouldn't be rewarded

Does anyone know what is wrong with him, he isn't listed as injured.

They've locked him in a dark room, feeding him only raw meat, and are priming him for the finals......

According to DOA on CSC; Fisher, Walker and Yarran are the outs.

Not that I give a shit because A) i'm taking the missus out on a date and am avoiding the game entirely and B) these selections won't happen anyway but....,.,

Outs:-

AJ (been terrible these past few weeks)
Ellard (still have some faith in him)
carrazzo (been far too accountable for weeks now - simply MUST be dropped.

INS:-

Setanta (but for the love of god, please don't push him up the ground, put him in the ruck or at full back and have at least one if the brothers surrounding him at all times!!!!)

Armfield (if fit)

Robbo (at least I can count on him putting his head over the ball)

Starting midfield line up:-

I'm getting sick and tired of opositipn coaches talking about how potent our midfield is with Judd, Murphy and Gibbs............. Yet hardly ever do you see them starting in the midfield?????

From the opening bounce- I want these three in the middle!

Forward line set-up!

One of the main reasons I'm not going tomorrow night is because I'm sick of watching us push to far up the ground and having no forward line at all to kick too when we get a turnover!! It's shits me to high heaven!

Go back to basics.....

Setanta close to goal with gartlett surrounding him and creating preasure to keep the ball inside 50 (the longer that ball is in our 50mtr arc, the more chance we have of scoring!)

Fish / Robbo leading up on the flanks.

Henderson leading up to CHF

Waite at CHB

Yazza and betts to be roving but also pushing up into the centre for thier spead and attacking preasure.

Were playing SHIT football at the moment reminisint of Wallace at the Tigers! Since Hardwick has come in, he has stripped it all back to a basic style of football that is effective AND (more importantly) easy for all to understand!
Right now, the players look confused...... and this results in skill errors!

Apart from the typos (assume you meant for Setanta to be played ruck or full forward...), I agree entirely. Especially the last bit about the players looking confused - we need to get back to basics. Back ourselves to beat them.

Yarran seems a nice scapegoat for the softness thing. I did see him idly standing by when Judd was taking on the whole Collingwood team in the first quarter. :banghead:

How about Carazzo though, surely hes on borrowed time?

yes.. lets drop two fast running players against Essendon*.. who have notably beat us because of run run and more run for the last 2 years.

I will be disappointed if Ellard is dropped
We all can see he is probably not quite up to it but when put in there he gives it a go
We lost the game V Coll in the 1st half when Ellard was sitting mostly or not in the play.
Given a chance he got his knees and hands dirty.
His pace and skill may be suspect but his endevour is something many othere seem to be lacking
Lose and I think many Carlton fans will close up shop
It is damn hard to go in feeling any confidence
Anyway
Bring in Army - drop (throws dart) Johnson

They will bring in Armfield who is quick + Robo and Davies who are tough.

DOA says Walker is sore.

Apparently this is 'partially a line in the sand game'. Talk about a metaphor for not being committed to the contest.
