I'd say both teams have gone 75%. The margin is probably expected, the Hawks with a full team are probably 6 goals better than us.

So we still need to find 2-5 goals in the season proper?

Given what they have that is a fair statement. The first quarter will be such brilliant value for our young team.

we were appalling at the start rather than the hawks beating us

4 quarters rather than the 3 we played and thats close to a 10 goal win i reckon

plus we had to play against the 3 umpires all day too

Another week playing on proper grounds against another Grand Final team. Couldn't have had a better pre-season.

You didn't have your best 22 out there.

But you still did your best to snipe and take cheap shots whenever you had the opportunity.

After all, look at who is in your coaches box

Clarkson - wrecks a young players career and then HIDES behind a goal post.

Hardwick - Tutored well by the king of cheap shots Sheedy and part of the scum culture of going the knuckle.

Your captain is a good example to the younger players as well...he's lucky he's a short arse otherwise he would have got weeks for some of the cheap shots he's had.

I'm sure your blokes sitting on the bench wearing bruises and leg injuries agree with you there.

How cool is that, I yelled out Robbo and my daughter yells out Robbo!!! I asked her if he is here favourite, yes daddy.

Given how much ice she was taking from the esky yesterday, I thought it would have been Ben Cousins.

Jesus I reckon Gartlet might just be the pick of the year! From the moment he came on the forward line began to work.

Could have put her on the Hawks bench so they couldn't address those bruises.

Garlett seemed like the only player in our forward line that could stick a tackle?! :screwy:

Who cares about how much he weighs?

ELEVATE HIM NOW!

Apart from Browndog, Robbie Campbell is our 3rd string ruckman.

If that is the case then why didn't Taylor play ahead of Campbell in the Grand Final?

Taylor's spot was taken by another sniper in Renouf...who has obviously been listening very intently to instructions given by his leaders!

Hawks were trying allright.

It was a 10 goal turnaround. We clawed our way back, 3 goals per quarter.

We were harder at the man and the ball while they continued to cluster.

That first quarter was a revelation to me. Hawks drop their knees to receive head high tackles, time after time. They really know what they're doing. Good thing is we picked it up and changed many facets of our game including pressure on the man with the ball.

No doubt if they had Buddy there, we would be height deficient down back against Buddy and Roguehead. No wonder they isolate their big fellas. So would I if I could get a 5-10 cm advantage (head and reach advantage). Our backline were fantastic against the odds, but I think it was the midfield pressure and support which helped them out a lot (as they should.

Armfield!!! Anyone doubt him now? Way ahead of his counterpart at the Blues imo. Fast, agile, great tackles and good kick on the run. He created run from the back half. All class. Garlett's another.

Good even spread. Very happy. Predictable won, but at the end of the day, we won a game of footy against formidable opposition.

The perfect practise match imo. Glad we're still in it trying things in games which are recognised and scrutinised by the public.

I think our boys like and are ready for the big stage.

mr tuck i think you should just leave with your tail between your legs

you lost , we won

you didnt have your best team in and experimented

guess what

we didnt either and we experimented too

yes you are still a better team than us, but we beat you today and you tried as hard as we did

to come on here and say oh we didnt try and oh we had this player out and oh he is only our 3rd string ruckman is weak and pathetic

pathetic , sniping , diving pack of cheats and and we dont like you
