i said on bb that we need to show and make a decision collectively.

at least by being there, even if we don't play we have made the effort, health comes first.

even if we just have a 15 minute kick together, we potentially can arrange another date in 3 or 4 weeks ???

really hot guys, this is exceptional :?:

i know this is soft but if it is as hot as it was today im not playing, im not going to risk it fellas. i will turn up and i will be there, but im not risking health to do it fellas. sorry, speaking from a medical point of view too, i think it would be a very bad idea to play if it is ANYWHERE within the vicinity of five degrees of what it was today.

I wouldn't even go to the beach in this weather. I applied sunscreen two or three times the other day hanging out at the beach, and still got a bit burnt.

I have, however, decided to go for a jog down there in the morning with Jake before the whole dog curfew thing comes in at 10am. That way I can relieve the tension in my muscles with a walk in the water..ah...

I suppose if its unplayable we can always just go to the pub early

I don't wanna sound too diplomatic here, but, 'what about The Shag?' :P

There shouldn't be a problem there! He will be fine as he wont be drinking and we will be sitting in the bistro section

You're also allowed into pubs at 16 if you're with your legal guardian or husband (I'm pretty sure....)

So, I'm sure Shag knows what to do to get in

FWIW, I don't think we should play either. www.bom.gov.au still has it at 43. We're better off meeting there, praying for some freak change of climate, and rescheduling. At least they'll be a captive audience. Then its off to the pub!

i'll jump back on latter, but if some still go that would be great just as a meet and greet.

Ground and heat combine too make this no good.

Maybe we can reschedule for 5 weeks or so.

I will probably stay at the 30th now, no sense going from Hampton too Glenferrie for little.

I posted on BB, an dmost of them are the same, off to the pool, pub etc

Sorry guys but I'm gonna have to pull out. 43 degrees is flower hot and no where near safe to be playing football in.

I live in Gisborne (an hour away) and there is no point going, just to collapse. All the best to the guys (if they're playing).

I sent a msg to WCB telling him not come, he has over an hour drive to get there.

Also called Shag and Bull knows aswell.

But we are all still going down and then heading to the pub, be there at 2:30 and then off to the pub.

Glad you called it off, what did the guys at BB say?
Oh wait, you'll answer that after you get back from the pub or tomorrow morning.

I would like to ask if it is ok if Shag can give himself POW?

FANTASTIC WORK ON THE DVDS, SHAG.

And also to IS and PJ for the work they also did on it.

So now to the game.
There was none.

But did speak to BB about making a game for a later date but the best we could come up with was 1st game at the end of the season.
They have a game VS SS coming up, U2 in concert, comm games, grand prix and then into the NAB Cup.

Bought up the idea of maybe playing in the mid season break but alot of the younger guys have there own footy to worry about.
So, 1st game at the end of the season will be the go.
BB seem pretty pumped to get a game going with us and this way hopefully numbers and temp will not be to much of a problem.

Once again big thumbs up to Shag and co for a great job on the DVD. (POW again)
