Was it the way the St Kilda player jumped on top of him?
Not sure..
He didn’t tackle Smith like normal .. more jumped on top.. maybe I have to watch it again.

My heart skipped a beat.. with pain following..after I read. “Out for the season”
Bloody hell.

Lord will have to make Rd1 now. Only new blood coming thru that I feel confident about..

You can't make this stuff up.
We effectively gave up 2 first round picks for this kid.

He could have easily done it at training slipping over. Just super shit luck.

Alarming.

What did they tell us about Curnow? Don't believe that either.

Normally it’s pretty easy to diagnose an ACL injury, right?

Perhaps our medicos need a refresher.

Yep, all you need is a chair.

Yep. You just look at the jumper and if it's navy blue with a big CFC on it, it's 'see you in a year'

I’m absolutely shattered but somehow not surprised.

Spare a thought for the kid. He must be heartbroken.

The possibility actually flitted through my mind yesterday and I went "nah, not even we're that [REDACTED]".

:yikes:

I am just so deflated now.
Hopefully our run of bad luck has come to an end.

Usual start to the season with 2 pre-season ACLs

CFC = Cursed Football Club

Absolutely gutted

are we are cooked? or am i overreacting?

all the eggs went into the jagga basket. i knew when newman went down we were in for it. houston was not only the heir to newman, but a substantial upgrade and the key to "win now"... we headed in a different direction.

fair enough. fast forward 4 months.

... now we look threadbare across the ground. walsh is again injured and missing another pre-season, cripps another year older, charlie has been injured for 6 months and counting, tdk is literally held together by elsatoplast and weiters is the only AFL defender on the books. jagga's rookie year to learn is gone before it even started, and by the time he's back, we could be back to bottom 6 material.

i'm still not even convinced voss is a good coach. which is ok, bcos he's a motivator. but what's not okay is surrounding him with the same potatoes who butchered last season, with slow ball movement, and long bombs to contests.

praccy match or not... the way we moved the ball from HB to forward was diabolical yday and that won't cut it.

it's unreal. we are unreal.

The club needs to come out and tell us the truth about Charlie.
