All players once thought of as maybe being around to taste success are now facing the reality of being done before success arrives. They aren't silly, they would know it.

Set them free, they aren't inspirational for the new breed.
Synbad blames the board. I'm not convinced they can get in the ears/minds of the new players now that Bolts is in.

Get as many new, young players in as possible, as quickly as possible. Let them lose together, feel the pain together and build together without any relics of the last decade bringing them down.

Yep, we'll be slaughtered a few times along the way and call me a fool but I believe in Bolton. He is the most articulate coach we have had since Parkin. His word is deliberate and measured and commands attention.
He needs youth to ingrain a level of commitment into.

It's too late for our senior players. They have been tainted by the old ways and, like a gangrenous limb, need to severed before their infection spreads.

Hard to disagree. You have to wonder what further value the team can get from these guys, and what value these guys can still get out of the club.

This is why it's nice to actually have a list manager. I'm sure the thought has occurred to SOS at some stage.

List Manager is such a crock of shit role. How long could you possibly spend doing that?

Actually incorrect, we are actually year 2 into a rebuild. Remember our magnificent president came out after round 2 last year and said we are in rebuild and 66 games away.

Yeah, righto lads.

I'm just suggesting that nobody drafted during the Ratten/Pagan era is worth holding onto.

The rest is semantics and waffle to fluff out my opinion and give everyone more to read than a glib one liner.

Weird, considering two of them have contracts for 2017

Effective inside 50's running at 37%, marks inside 50 was 5 to 23. There are massive issues with our forward structure

That number went down without Walker to draw attention, and plummeted further without Everitt.

I think that reflects that neither one of our rucks does a job resting forward, so it's time to re-jig things from that perspective.

He can, he just can't do what Levi or a power forward does. That's the problem.

I doubt we'd get much for any of them, I think the bigger discussion within the 4 walls will be do we swap pick 1 or 2 at the end of the year for say pick 5 and 10, and at least get 3 picks in the top 20?

We are 4 more drafts away from a decent list.

6 years until we will play finals again.

I will guarantee Gibbs, Kruezer, Touhy and Casboult will get traded in the next two years to generate more draft picks.

I'd trade Touhy and Casboult this year for early second rounders.

The year after Gibbs and Cruiser for first rounders if they both are consistent over the next two years.

You don't need a total list re-build the achieve success. We've got the young base of quality youth in JW, Cripps, Doch, Charlie and hopefully big McKay and SOS.

Our problem is in the bottom 6 that we put on the field every week. Rowe, Jamison, Casboult, Wiley and Thomas - and I'll regrettably include Simmo in that list. Although he tries his guts out every week, he just simply doesn't take the game by the scruff and make the opposition fear him. He racks up possessions that are often meaningless.

Gibbs, Murphy, Walker, Kreuzer and Curnow would all benefit massively from replacing those punters with quality, hard running, hard hitting under 24s.

I admit to hoping Thomas would be a real benefit to the team as a mentor, but it's now obvious it was a massive tactical @#$%&! up by the coach and club.

Just have to put up with Casboult Rowe Jamo in the seniors for the majority of this season until Harry Plow JGM are physically and mentally ready.
