saying on SEN that one Nick Maxwell won't make it on to the G.

Nice....the sight of him annoys me...always is freed by his coach, and receives easy ball without an opponent.

I've never seen him play a bad game...may have been beaten, which happens, but contributed well enough for a team win. He and Fev matched up and Fev was too strong.

Brown would come in. He's not a bad late inclusion.

Great. He's not suited to wet conditions. Can punch the ball their way.

Carrots in, if fit, is a no brainer with Curnow out. I'm surprised Armfield isn't in the squad of 25 though. Not sure what the story is with him. The emergency list is interesting - I didn't expect to see Bell in either the AFL or VFL until after the bye. If he's fit, you would have thought he would have been straight into the 22 considering the conditions and he's coming off probably his best senior game. And Docherty's an emergency....hmmm, that's a fraction earlier than I expected to see him in the squad, but good news he's getting close I guess. I think we can say Armfield is officially out of favour.

And why isn't our wet weather specialist (after 1 good game last year in the wet) playing?.....Boots!! :yikes:

I'm too am really surprised about the things you say about Armfield = speed tagged and goal kicker

In all fairness Armfield was elevated/ in consideration was when the late change came before the game and Army was selected as emergency...so he's as ready as Docherty if not more advanced.

I'd rather not read too much into it.
If Army's good enough and tyres a gap, he could be selected. I would. I'm not the coach.
MMs decision ..... :sly:

In English next time ?

Hoops was also one of the best kicks to don the navy blue, an outside receiver and a steal of a draft pick (70s) if memory serves correctly

If the weather is bad, dropping a tall for a runner like Doc might be handy. Would help replace Yazz's run too. We really struggled when Yazz went off last week. Plus Collingwood aren't going all land of the giants like the Eagles did so losing a tall from last week would be good.

Collingwood have 2 legit rucks which should hurt them if it rains. It's like us playing Kreuzer & Warnock when it rains - disaster.

We brought in Carrots for Yazz which doesn't exactly help our run.

Like Scotland did, I think Dennis needs to complete a mini preseason in the 2s. He played injured through the NAB games & only really started to find his groove a couple of weeks ago. He was emergency last week though. I don't think he's on the outer though.

Cheers. In the two's, by the numbers, he's been going ok. But yeah, maybe his conditioning isn't up to 4 quarters on the G.

Admirable player, but limited skills and can't hit targets. Doc the opposite and is the future.

Love a bit of positivity before the game, ffs there's enough doom and gloom here after we lose.
Hate getting my tyres deflated here before the games even played.
Blues by 4 points.

Docherty isn't an admirable player?

Maxwell will play. It's exactly how they said Watson wouldn't before we played Essendon*. Ended up getting smacked in that game.
