I had Bucks in our best
Because he was one of very few players who kept running and backing himself to create momentum and opportunities by taking the game on
Our lack of mids nearly lost us this game
Thankfully Bucks, Murph n Simmo kept running

Barring anything unforeseen, Buckley will make it - works hard, has the right on field attitude (aggression, leadership) and shown plenty of pace/skills/dash in his very few opportunities thus far.

Just the 5th game of his career and has shown heaps of promise and ability to impact games. Only queries atm are size and fitness - both of which will come with continued hard work - little doubt that the talent is there :)

Firstly, full credit to Robbo. I was questioning his inclusion but he had one of his more efficient days, so well done to him.

Thought Rowe and White were both excellent, in some high pressure one on ones during the game. Jamo also good down back..

Murph - leading from the front again. Can't question his guts. Don't think he'll ever be a Luke Hodge type skipper, but he has his own style and he's working hard. Good on him.

Warnock is our #1 ruck when fit and that's that. The others will have to work around him. What a game. He's looking confident as we'll - he's found himself the last couple of weeks. Please stay fit.

Buckley just needs to play. So does Menzel.

Thomas is working into form as he works into fitness. Not sure if he's worth the dollars he's on, but he's a wise head on the field. His little cheap to Waite late in the game was so composed.

My only real downside yesterday was Gibbs. He's a lazy, lazy player. The goals he gave away were based on lazy decision making - not taking the time to properly assess what was going on. He also gave another goal away by allowing his opponent to get ahead of him off the ball while Gibbs trotted at half pace through the middle. I watched him exclusively for 10 minutes or so in the 2nd quarter - he simply doesn't work hard enough when he doesn't have the ball and sometimes doesn't think hard enough when he does have it. I don't know if it's too late for coaches to influence him on basic stuff like that, but if he wants big $$ he needs to work harder and become a complete player. Just being able to line up in a heap of different positions on the ground doesn't make him complete.

Forgot Simon White.Excellent game.Great closing speed.Reads the ball in the air very well..............i know its a big call, but has White got a bit of Scott Howell/Mario Botalotto about him ?...........you know, that unassuming 3rd tall type.

Earlier this year, I described Menzel’s game as one of such surpassing beauty, his football card should be scented.

That goal was pot-fking-pourri!

I got criticised for similar comments last year. IMO He is the best one on one defender we have. Reads it so well and his body work is excellent. More games into him the better he will be.

As Mick pointed out in his media conference we lost 6 potential onballer rotations from last weeks game.

Judd, Bell, Curnow, Carrots, Ellard and Cripps. So a fair bit of moving deck chairs on the titanic went on.

Damn we missed Curnow on Priddis :hitcomputer:

Judd played 2 minutes last week, hardly added to the midfield rotation last week

Hard to argue with your facts. Much like mine I guess. "We lost 6 potential onball rotations from last weeks game'.

Seems fairly accurate to my way of thinking but each to their own I guess.
