Wouldn't it be funny if the recruitment firm surprisingly discovered that McKay is actually the best person in the world for the job ?

Remember that time our president stepped in for the short term? Short term at Carlton means a very long time.

It's as if the club is confused and has mixed dog years into their announcements.
2 weeks really means 14 weeks.
Short term means "sometime within the next decade or so."

Geez, leaving before we have important players signed up. Gibbs, Yarran, Menzel the top ones.

Mckay certainly is left with a lot of responsibility.

Is this a worry for us ?

..gibbles and Menz 99% done, yazz will be wrapped up quickly now too.. ..fair chance all will be signed up before he moves on..

Initially I thought it would've been better to do this at the end of the season.

But on reflection, it might be better this way to allow the new CEO time to become familiar with club in its current state and particularly the contract situations of players with plenty of time to plan for the off-season.

Say what you will about Swann's recent performance, he was a great get, and played a big part in us leaving the canvas and bearing some resemblance to a professional organisation. So for his efforts he should be applauded.

But we can all agree that it's time now for fresh ideas in all areas of the club, and this one is extremely important. I can only say I'm glad the club has swallowed its pride and will follow a proper process to get the right person in there.

Macca is in charge of contracts anyway. I think all 3 are pretty much signed anyway and announcement is just being held off for the 150 function.

So, here we have it Andrew D or Rocco I for CEO should start a poll.

Good luck to him, 7 years is a good stint. However, I'm very excited for fresh ideas, and even more excited that they are being professional about it and engaging the services of a recruitment agency to find the best candidate.

We are what?

Surely Synbad is in the mix and they are reviewing his cv right now with his vast array of knowledge of what is wrong with the club and how to move forward :)

Sticks moving on, now Swan, I expect they won't be the only ones moving on by seasons end. Some changes at board level maybe?

Interesting times ...
