Maybe a new, updated, modern version of this jersey that pays more homage to the retro style / notches would be a better compromise.
Adjust the proportions of the letters a bit, maybe ...

I'm with you on that.

I'll have posted a stronger monogram previously, which also pays homage to the 1927-97 monogram.

This is it:

It's essentially a squashed current monogram, but it's far more balanced, stronger looking, and has similar strength and proportion to the 1927-97 monogram

I really like this one KK, definitely more balanced, and a nod to the old and the modern. Would be very happy to have this on the front of the jumper, with or without notches.

I really like that KK.
A version of yours with the old points on the c c as in << would look good too.

Just rang the club and they are only releasing this version of the jumper, not the one with the raised logo.

mckay also told me that they no longer order the one with the raised logo because it would require them to order 50 in one go and they sell about 5 per year. so he told me to wait until the players auction off their jumpers. i thought it was a bit of a missed opportunity as i think with this design 50 would have easily sold. also not sure how right he is that only 5 were getting sold of the normal monogram given i know 2 people who bought one two years ago :?

I have got used to Carlton being a mediocre team and the perfect symbol of that mediocre spirit is the current guernsey. As far as I am concerned the proper Carlton has never been wooden spooners, as the proper Carlton guernsey was never represented in those matches.

If they change to the 1920s-1997 jumper it means the club wants to be more than mediocre. It takes you out of your comfort zone to know that being mediocre is not the established norm. Keep the monogram trendy and modern I say. Aim for 5th to 10th on the ladder. It is comforting to know what to expect in an odd way.

If what you want is consistency, just listen to how the song is sung. The players get it wrong every time they sing it.

This is the one, with raised logo, that I have framed (not Fev's, but Blackwell's):

And I see this on eBay:

Is it me but how good does Judd look in a proper Carlton Jumper?

Regretting signing that petition.

Inbox flooded with douchey pretentious emails from Change.org about providing a voice.

How good Juddy look? Man they all look great & yes this oozes strength.....
This is the Jumper that will be the start of us getting back to what we once were...
Looked at the video with Murphy alongside Wayne Johnston, & it just pure class, same colour as the old wooly of the dominator's, but modern.
Ok even if we dont get the notches...I would be happy for the logo at least to look right & same larger size like the original, not the crappy small one.
