You can't keep rolling out the " still learning the game" line forever.

Isn't that what we keep saying about Hampson?

The fact he wasn't picked for this game and Casbault was gives me great hope.

I still think that in our best 22 Hampson could be a forward pocket second ruck, with Waite at CHF and Levi at FF. The problem we have had previously with too many talls is because we were expecting one of our ruckman to be a KP forward. With Waite and Casboult at CHF and FF, I think we would be happy with Kruezer and Hampson in the FP when resting. Both are good ruckman and would be better suited forward when they are the third tall instead of being expected to be the lead up key forward as we have tried in the past.

I just hope we get through it with no serious injuries like the NAB Cup.

I get the feeling there may be a few more changes, I suspect they may bring in Buckley and Watson for Mclean and Jamison. Also wouldn't be surprised if GWS spring a late change with Setanta

Evening out? We will by 10 goals without Murphy and Judd. GWS just can't play a full game, even Melbourne kicked 12 on them in a quarter with their midfield.

Last year we had the following playing:

T-Bird, Hampson, Duigan, Joseph, Russell, Bower

Both Judd and Carrazzo missed as well.

We still won by 10 goals.

They led the peptides by around 28 at 1/2 time several weeks ago, eventually lost by 39

It's this mentality that I hope the club doesn't have today... We need to be serious about this game. GWS may not have beaten us before but they do play well against us. They have nothing too lose and will play like that.

Dont like this resting players crap...... It's what got us undone last year....

Essendon* won by 39pts.

4pts is a given no matter the team we put on the park.

We won by 67pts last year playing 'average' football.

We can turn up half-switched on today for 3/4's then smash them in one quarter. Of course I'd prefer an even four quarter effort, but seriously anyone who thinks GWS is a chance needs to wake up.

I'm not sure that your statistical sample really lends itself to such a sweeping statement.

(we've played them once...)

Ok one game and one half of NAB cup which means nothing. I am probably chucking in Gold Coast as well, as it is deeply ingrained in my brain how we lost to them last year taking them lightly.

We need to use this game to fine tune our game plan and get some consistency before the tough ones begin.

We Have not played good footy yet, even against Melbourne, Brisbane nor Port Adelaide..

We can't afford to pick and choose how we play. Got to be ruthless like Geelong who want to smash everyone in their path, no matter who it is.

We don't do this.............

They play well against us??? We've played them once, and won by 70 odd points, from memory we butchered a whole lot of shots too (as per normal).
