I think we should give slogans a rest.....slogans don't win games.

Excitimg footy like yesterday will swell the membership....it's all there waiting.

Just finished watching the replay.

WOW!!! The lads just absolutely dismantled them.

1. Amazing pressure and support for each other at every contest.
2. Fitness levels are amazing.
3. Yazz plays this game on a another plane
4. McInness's use of his body and selfless 1%ers will have him in our best 22 in 2013.
5. Thanks Blues. Stunning to watch at times.

Nice to have the likes of Simpson, Carrots, Murph, Juddy, Waite, Robbo and Walks back in our best 22.

Regards Cazzesman

Love watching Bell and Robinson on the ground at the same time.

Loved seeing Robinson run straight in on the quarter time siren to look out for Gibbs, and make sure he wasn't going to get surrounded by Essendon* players.

Loved seeing Bell run straight ahead and straight through Essendon* midfielders.

Please match committee, find a starting spot for Bell as often as you can. That kind of aggression is invaluable, and with 50 games under his belt, you can see him really standing up in big finals games when the heat is on.

The thing that impressed me most about Robinson was initially he was trying to drag our blokes away from the scuffle, wasn't interested in going on with it. Of course that eventually changed and he went back in to help Scotland out, but great to see him prepared to walk away from it.

If Robbo continues to mature and works out he can be a more effective player by going at 80mph instead of 100 he's going to become a very good player.

please read fine print.

Funny BG, but ironically very true.

There are just so many variables that determine a realistic shot at a flag.

Including blind luck.

We are all buoyed today by one of our great wins in recent memory.

Who knows, we COULD win the flag in 2013. There are many recent examples of teams having a bad year then bouncing straight back into contention. It could be us. Lots and lots would need to go right, because we obviously have weaknesses.

But after a win like yesterday when so much went well, hope springs eternal.

PS. And we'd probably need a better slogan than the above, something that is less honest.

forgot the ' in we'll. (doh!)

No more promises, from anyone at the club, hopefully, but I'm almost, completely, prettymuch, barring this or that, sure, sort of... that we'll win the flag very soon. so there.

how'bout that?

Watching the replay, the AFL need to do an investigation into Jake Melksham, because his game was so bad he must have had a big punt on us to win. I mean there's just no other explanation.

If we manage to sneak into the 8 this year, and it is a big if, there may be a fair bit of New York Giants 11/12 about us.

I reckon they should rename Essendon* Bombers to the Essendon* Snipers. Can win without taking out a few blokes from the opposition can they!

more appropriate to call em "Essendon* whingers" - it was fantastic to see them appealing and whingeing and mouthing off to the umps. and weren't they tough in the push and shove....not tough at the footy though.

Better off calling them "The Gliders".

Made a bet with a Bombers supporter in my Year 10 English class. He's been giving me crap non stop in my class pretty much since Round 4. Only in the last few weeks has he started to pipe down and realise that they'll probably miss the 8. He reckoned with Ryder, Zaharakis etc back they were at full strength and would pump us easy. We made a bet that the winner got to make an image to put as the loser's computer wallpaper all the following week.

While I feel bad for the kid, 96 points and all, a bet's a bet. I'm a cruel teacher.

Here's his wallpaper I just e-mailed him, ready to go for Period 1 tomorrow morning

I was wrong, we were ruthless in killing them off.

Need to get more percentage next week against GC and then beat the Saints which will be tough.

agree. mciness and bell out of the blue - but after levi's games in the finals for the bullies i had no doubt we had something there. how exciting is our forward line now?

I'm glad someone else remembered Levi's final last year, you don't play like that if you don't have talent. What I also love about him is he plays with passion, he's loving being out there. Cloke who?

As for Mciness he'll probably have to play 100 games before opposition teams realize how good he is.

Wonderful performance and I'm now really looking forward to next year.
I wish we played with that determination more often.....and that Etihad Stadium didn't exist.

Essendon*'s "young guns" Hurley and Heppell are seriously overrated.....Melksham is a dud. So too Jetta, Dempsey, Monfries....the list goes on.
Any side with Alwyn Davey is not worthy of playing finals.

Disappointing that North beat Collingwood - I'm not sure they now have a great deal to play for against the Dockers this weekend whilst it will be like a final for Freo.
