So no Judd, jamo, walker, Waite, warnock, duigan and the dogs at full strength.

Not much to look forward to for them on what I saw today!

can you update me on Ellards game time and stats Jim

5 possessions and was under pressure in possession. I think he had about 2.5 quarters of play, going into the half with no stats to his name.

Ellard Russel and Lucas very quiet

Heaven help us if we need to rely on Casboult this year. He has brain fades. Obviously not the sharpest tool in the shed. I also thought Rowe looked completely out of sorts. Not sure if it was the delivery or him but he couldn't even offer a contest. The result doesn't matter but I hate that we keep giving up leads. Not at all important given the talent to come into the side but it is something for them to work on for sure. I thought Lachie Henderson was terrific in the last quarter. Also, special mention to t-bird. One of the concerning things is that Gibbs has shown very little in the games he's played this year.

Rowe found wanting but understandable after knee layoff. Will be better for the run and another hitout next week.
Levi: some good but let down with some sloppy work - encouraging though.
Dale: the goods. Clean hands.
Brock: thought he worked well. Maybe a shot for Rnd1 (Carrazzo in any strife with the tribunal?)
Davies also did some good things through the back along with Hendo standing tall and Touhy a couple of nice touches.

Not quite full strength. Had Morris played, Betts would have kicked 5 less goals ;)

Where's Russell at with his football? Touhys gone past him. And when is Gibbs going to become a fearless hunter of the ball in midfield?

From memory...Gibbs never seems to show anything significant in the pre season.

Levi, Hammer, Rowe showed a bit but if we're relying on those types in a Prelim or GF we're in trouble.

Yeah, same here Sedat. I cringed when he rolled over clutching his shoulder.

Lucas was good last week but very quiet this week.

Russell looks completely out of sorts.

Kreuzer was excellent.

Overall I just find NAB cup games really hard to take much out of though.

Big problem for me was continued lack of contested marks around the ground and up forward. Can't win footy games when you are constantly relying on your crumbers to get the ball for you.

I thought our tackling and pressure were great but it seems we still lack a plan b when plan a gets kept quiet.

Overall pretty disappointing effort against a Bulldogs team that will struggle this year, even given that we were a few stars shorts.

PROS
Betts looks in good nick
Murphy is Murphy
Scotland looks set for another good year

CONS
Henderson had a shocker. When Will Minson kicks a few on you are struggling. Got out-muscled too easily.
Casboult has a lot of work to do. If we are anywhere near top 4 he should not get a game. Wouldn't be close at Coll, Geel or Haw.
Rowe. See Casboult. Was uncompetitive in the last quarter despite being outnumbered.
Hampson still drops two out of three.
