Warnock, Houlihan and Armfield emergencies.

Glad Tuohy is still in!

Army omitted - not the flavour of the month at the moment.

Possibly not enough strings to his bow.

The quality of the players left out is showing the depth we have built, you probably need about 30-32 players capable of holding their place in the team to win a flag. We may not quite be there yet but boy we are getting close.

Looking forward and I am enjoying the ride.

Go Bluebaggers !!!

Probably the best list of INs we ve had all year...
Good to see all those guys back, and also good to see that they've given Hammer another crack in the Ruck as he played probably his best game ever for us last week (even though Brogan was hampered by injury)...

After our massive fall from grace, I thought Id never get the 'Carlton Swagger' back again... But now I find myself finally starting to get that old cockiness back, looking at our opposition and saying things like 'Pfft, we'll thrash em' and actually be confident that we will....

I just wish I could guarantee Houlihan's fitness, then I'd swap him for Carrazzo. I know Andy's been ok and has made a lot of effort to handball more and open up opportunities through his work through midfield, but Houla will reward a lot more leads than we've been seeing thus far.

30 touches last week, you'll have to do better than that Jim.

Doesn't mean he had a great game. If the midfield dominoes fall, the names I mentioned are the most likely to go first, and with good reason.

Plenty of hard runners and link men in the team, why not add some polish?

Don't undervalue the improvement in every player including Armfield.

Armfield still has pace to burn for a Rioli type, but then again we have a fair bit of pace thoughout the team.

I think Tuohy offers a similar level of pace to Armfield but also the required kicking ability. We can't afford to have Armfield burst off half back only to have him drop the ball awkwardly onto his boot and/or pick the wrong option. I'm confident in Tuohy's disposal and decision making.

I don't think that's an issue with Army anymore, it's more just the amount of the footy that he gets.
I don't even think that its a Tuohy vs Army decision this week, more that Tuohy has earned a shot, and therefore deserves more than 1 quarter of football, plus, we need to know if guys can stand up in September/October if we get injuries.

If Toohey gets games in the Seniors he can give us glimpses of what he's capable of.
Laidler and Duigan copped a fair bit of flak in their early games but you don't hear much criticism now.

Who'd have thought that it would take half a year for one of our lock in defenders in previous years to get a game.

Imagine when Laidler is fit?

FB - Laidler, Jamo, Duigan
HB - Yarran, Russell, Bower

No room for Thornton?
