Keogh,

you are spot on about ratts. Varcoe running amok is more evidence that he can't take us to the next level

Warnock's concussion is a factor in missing the shot but is not an excuse. If his kicking technique was better (laying back on the ball he would have kicked it). If you want to win a premiership you have to have the mental toughness to deliver in adversity. How about Didak playing the finals with his pec off the bone? How about Kenny Hunter playing every second game concussed or Judd's Friday night goal on one leg? Give me excuses if you want to finish 4th-8th and spare me them if you want to win a premiership.

Rubbish. At worse it was a mistake by Ratts and the MC that they can learn from. More than likely good play by Geelong and Varcoe. Check the KPI's for the Blues in that 15 mins and you will see that they failed to do what they had successfully done for the first half and the last half of the last quarter.

Was collingwoods first half yesterday down to bad coaching and its second half down to good coaching ?

I see that The Age is speculating that Enright may face a couple of weeks for his spoil on Warnock.

Don't worry, as the team continues to improve, it'll probably become "That one goal that guy kicked when we 10 goals up is a sign that Ratts doesn't know what he's doing" and ultimately "That dopey green on Ratts' face when he got the Jock McHale Medal was an embarassment, and a sign he should go at the end of the year"

The responsibility here lies with the match day coach who sits in the box. Reilly? or Richardson?. We seem now to have a coaching collective which is an interesting and innovative approach, and clearly on match day's Ratts doesn't look after tactics during the game. There is no way he could see the game clearly enough from the bench. So maybe it is our collective approach at fault or maybe Reilly and Richardson didn't act quickly enough. Ratts appears to have stepped back from match day tactical control so I don't think this is his fault.

He has to go. He had one thing on his mind and that was smashing Warnocks head. I maybe wrong but isnt it a 50m penalty if done deliberately.

Scarletts kick to Waites nuts should be looked at also but him being suspended for that would bring a lot of attention to the MRP.

It's a 50 if it's terribly late or if he's reported at the time.

Well done Brett Ratten ... taken Carlton from a basket case to a probable top four position in 3 years. Excellent work. My tip is that we will play Collingwood in the Grand Final.

I just had a quick look, and while the actual result is a little better, it's still an amazing stat:

Leaving aside the Gold Coast Massacre, we've won our other four games by a combined 3.39.

We beat Richmond by 1.14, Adelaide by 0.12, Sydney by 2.4 and St Kilda by 0.9.

Absolutely incredible. We should probably have a percentage of 150.

What a lot of people didnt see was that after the Warnock free a Geelong player had the ball in the other pocket, and once the decision was made just dropped the ball on teh ground. That should have resulted in a 50 metre penalty.

Given where 206's head was 50m wouldn't have helped.

Don't forget losing with 3 more scoring shots on Friday night, and the run of behinds against The Brave Ones when we could've finished them at any moment.*

*But they were so brave

I believe St K and Adelaide both scored more goals than us. Hence the 3 goal advantage being reduced to 1
