Does Malcolm Blight always grunt and groan so much?

Get Thornton back into the forward line quickly where he can offer something. He is such a liability down back. He gives away so many free kicks in defence that you would swear he is doing it deliberately. Too ungainly as a backman these days.

 we should be smashing them more than 74. Collingwood would be 347 up by now. Crazies!

Go for % or kick a few more and then mellow in the last (without giving away score) to save some legs for next week?

Yeah and if he gives away a free in the forward line it's not quite so damaging.

I'm a fan of running the game out. Percentage is important early on in the season.

This Collingwood mania is totally over the top. Who have they beaten so far? I have a gut feeling that we will surprise them next week.

We're doing everything we need to at the moment.

Anyone talking negatives and complaining at the moment needs to have a good look at themselves.

And it's different at the end of the season because...?

Could backfire with what we lose next week in %. I am with you though.

If we can get Murphy and Judd off early id take that. Murphy looks a bit crook. Perhaps he was one Ellard was on the trip for.

We're spasmodic moving the ball and it'd hurt us the other way when the turnover happens versus a decent team, but otherwise we're playing good footy. GC are badly positioned at every line and it's hurting them so much.

They will be good when they settle into their tactics, because physically they're not overawed. Defence needs a shuffle though as Tape isn't physically ready and Hunt is undersized for his role.

Murph is in absolute cruise control, not even going half pace. Carrots won't be there next season. Jeffy G is top class, and Yazz shoulda/coulda had 3 from HBF :yikes:

Sorry Brad, don't agree. The first half of that quarter was very ordinary. We got back on top, which is great. But I've got one eye on next week, and all I could see was Collingwood piling on 4-5 cheap goals quickly.

Murph and Gibbs in particular need to get out of first gear.

Agree - no spark and appears slow. Take him off and rest him.

But we're not playing Colonwood. Very hard to maintain the effort against boys. We'll win by about 90 in a canter, but next week is the real deal, with hopefully Bower and Jamo back.
