Fev snubs $2m long-term deal

I'd say there is nothing to worry about at this stage 8)

Interesting to see how Swann handles this. He is a tough negotiator who will have a limit on how much he can pay Fev as contracts for guys like Murph, Gibbs, Kruezer etc will come up in the next few years and we will need the room.

I reckon the idea of a bonus if he behaves is a great idea. Win-Win.

I am of two minds, if he accepts the deal well and good and we move forward. If he doesn't we should draw the line in the sand and trade him. Should get at least a first round and a good player for him.

Also, who has made an offer? C'wood, Fremantle, Port?

IF this rejection is true, I am extremely disappointed in Fev as i did not think he was money hungry. I would suspect his wife has a lot to say in this..........

I dont believe the article though, we will see.

Anyone Josh, Synbad that can shed any light on this ?

Yes his wife wants a Ferrari and a bigger diamond....

Theyre currently shopping for a house in Beverley Hills and have spotted one they like next to Becks and Posh...

..well, earlier in the year swan was bragging about all the room in the salary cap to 'snare a big name player'.. ..well, now everyone knows how much room there is, obviously fev's management will ask for more.. ..i reckon no extra clause/bonuses, prolly 2.4 over 3 yrs.. ..best FF in the league, not gonna be able to replace him any time soon, plus we all reckon we need another forward on top of that..highly, highly doubtful he's going anywhere except to the bank..

Synbad, didnt mean it like that about his wife.

I just dont picture Fev as a money hungry sort of guy. I think being with his mates, and being a one club player is more important to him.

So is the article true in your opinion ?

Why would Fev leave? Stupid article designed to keep the pressure on the awakening giant.

Has he?

By my reckoning he owes the club something. His output over TEN years for someone with his talent is average. He plays well in patches but is happy to drag the club through the mud at other times.

He should be very happy with the offer and should take it. I hope Swann puts a time limit on it and if he doesn't sign then goodbye.

There is no way he is ever going to make that sort of money ever again in his lifetime.

I have no issue with him leaving. We are to Fev conscious anyway and need to develop a more mobile forward line with more options.

With quality kids in Murph, Gibbs, Kruezer, Armfield, Grigg, Anderson, Browne, Russell, Hampson, Austin, Bower, Jamison etc the future looks great. We should set a standard now!

*How do you know he wont win tatts?Warren Ralph did...
*He has accepted much less thna what has been offered to him in his last 2 contracts...
*Fev will be with the club next year unless something weird happens... and not too many weird things happen at Carlton these days...

The first three comments don't make any sense?

1. No class in the kids?
2. I didn't say he would win Tatts?
3. He hasn't accepted anything?
4. Swann will not put up with any bullshit, that will be the deal and if he doesn't like it , see ya later.

That quote in the HUN is BS as any trade would be discussed with the club not Fev's management.

Its not as if its Fevola himself who is in discussion with the club. Its all done through his management. I can guarantee you Fev would want the contract signed as soon as possible.

Can someone clarify that Fev's management company or manager are/is new? This could have a big impact on how they approach the club.

Yeah, cause we clearly approached WC first about Judd.
