For me Murph, Kreuzer, Judd & Hendo are completely off limits. The others...you never know.

Gibbs is interesting. Definitely don't want to lose him but if we are looking at 'ticker' and 'a bit of mongrel' they are not really attributes he possesses. He is a FA next season and if there is any doubt that he may be wanting big $$ and would contemplate a move perhaps he needs to be considered for trade also.

Geez the next 3 months are going to be painful...

Walker, Judd, Simpson, Warnock, McLean, Betts, Scotland, Waite, Duigan, Jamison, Carrazzo have effectively SFA value on the trade table.

You'd maybe get more than a third rounder for Walker and Jamison. Whilst Carrots would be valued as such, not sure who would actually pay it.

You would get a first rounder for Walker.

for us to land boyd we are looking at kreuzer and yarran, no way would they take warnock, can't even get a game for us what does that tell you.
i would trade kreuzer and yarran for boyd.
don't care what people think, i would pick up gumbleton for a player swap, maybe ellard...he offers more than rowe, hampson and casboult put together, not many other key forwards out there that are available, comes cheap.
kirean harper is another player to pick up.
give games to menzel, graham and buckley.
mitchell needs a few games to see if worth keeping, casboult has played about 15 games and he still can't kick to save himself.
try and trade or delist, collins, o'keeffe, rowe, davies, dale, joseph, white, curnow, hampson, ellard, casboult and watson.
mccarthy gets another year and maybe mitchell, [only if he shows something after a few games].
boyd and gumbleton up forward.
jamison and henderson[have no choice because we lack KD].
warnock plays ruck only not played as a key forward, joke.
laidler plays back, not sure why mick tries to play him forward in the two's, another joke, plays the general role well, takes the third forward.
use our first pick on the best available.
look at players that are available through FA.
my team would look something like,
tuohy jamison laidler
walker henderson harper
simpson carrazzo buckley
garlett gumbleton gibbs
menzel boyd betts
warnock judd murphy
from, graham bell mcInnes robinson armfield lucas bootsma scotland mclean
cachia temay and our picks can develop.
duigan and waite back up, need some older heads to help out/depth.
just my thoughts, can't believe we can be so bad, gone backwards.

Why trade Kruezer and Warnock all of a sudden??
These two when healthy are the best duo ruck in the league.

Yes Kruezer has been down a little in the last couple of weeks, but just wait until Warnock to take the number ruck spot back, it will ease Kruz a lot.

My Ideal team for the rest of the season would be as follows;

Graham - Jamison - Laidler

Touhy - McInnes - Scotland

Yarran - Gibbs - Lucas

Walker - Henderson - Menzel

Casboult - Watson - Betts

Kreuzer - Judd - Murphy

INT - Carrazzo, Simpson, Armfield, Gartlett

I know a bigger body down back would help...we should go hard for Frawley next season

Robbo is injured and should be rested
Yarran needs to run and i think the wing could be his go

Why not give Watson a go as a stay at home key fwd??? Ala Hawkins.
Casboult and Watson give us 2 key targets, Hendo and Walker the mobile options and Betts and Menzel the polish
Casboult to relieve Kruezer in the ruck
Walker back to fwd line, he's a goalkicker

May as well throw Watson, Menzel and Graham in the deep end....nothing to lose
Thought Lucas was good last night and needs to be persevered with.

This is a quick side, and we play at our best when our runners get going

No room for Brock, Curnow and Cachia. As much as they give their all, they're to slow.

Rexy,
I would be looking at gorringe and vardy.
If we landed one reckon they would be the first
choice ruck with warnock being the back up.
Would like us to look at Taylor Adams also.
People like chip frawley but he would come at a
cost, prob our first pick, don't think he is worth that,
but would we give up our first pick for Harry Taylor???
End of year is going to be very interesting and changes
need to be made, hard calls.

Jordan Murdoch kicks 3 last quarter goals in the biggest game of the year.

I don't know whether to laugh or to cry but that sums up our 'list management' philosophy right there.

I hope Wayne Hughes was watching along with Ratts who obviously was.

I wonder how good he's be under our development, though?

I wonder how things might have been for us if we went for Selwood instead of Gibbs ... may not have hunted Judd ... might still have Kennedy who by the way kicked the winning goal on the run and on his left. Have not seen Selwood's knee trouble him ??? :banghead:

Selwood, Cotchin, Pendlebury... Kennedy

Many ifs and buts...

Selwood ... touted to go pick 1 early in the year.

Cotchin ... we were never going to go for another small ... happy with Kruezer

Pendlebury ... never touted to go so low. Great pick up by Collingwood ... terrific recruiting team.

Kennedy ... only player Wayne Hughes has selected that is a regular and reliable key target. Greg Swann gave up too much.

an independent review would cover this when it reaches the recruitment and development areas.

Rowe was a good get!!!
