So Kreuzer plays a few good games and one great game and wallace has nothing to write about so he joins a few dots and says K is going.
It is a long bow between the dogs showing interest and Kreuzer leaving

not really jezz ... more than a few clubs have been monitoring the carlton meltdown and looking at players who they might pick up from the sinking ship. top of the list midyear was kreuzer, and if he got through the year unscathed and healthy and put a few good games together they'd be there to offer him money.

bulldogs just make the most sense. a young list on a really steep rise and void of all ruckmen.

Would be sad to lose Kreuz but we would most prob get band 1 comp so that potentially could be pick 3. You will never get more for him so if we want to make the most of it then now is the time.

In fairness SB what else do we do? The issue hasn't been getting the picks it's what we do with them. Our recruiting has been a disaster. Those people responsible aren't at Carlton anymore.

We had great picks with Murphy, Gibbs & Kruezer plus getting Judd but we didn't support them at all. I am hoping SOS can get these right.

Meltdown? I don't see any meltdown, just due process in taking us forward.

Can't see how the Dogs fit him into that salary cap at all.

I heard Boyd's offered to take a pay cut and he'll only earn $73 million next year.

And being on the vets list, only $112,000 counts under the cap. That's shrewd.

Only $112,000 of Matthew Boyd's $73 million contract for next year will count under the salary cap for the Bulldogs next year. What's not to get?

Your gag needs a different player name.

Given we are atleast 4 seasons from finals , trading Kruz for a first round pick would be a bold aggressive and good mood.

In my view anyone over 24 is worth looking at trading.

he is great fit for dogs, would be silly if they didn't look at him

Sell a 27yr top draft pick to get a 17-19yr early draft pick in a rebuild period ?? seems like commonsense to me.

Kruezer is 26 and you need some players to build a side around unless you plan to build it around an untried, unproven draft pick - no matter what #.

no, be sure it's been viewed by the other clubs as a meltdown. no one expected us to 1-8 and with malthouse sacked. the sharks have been circling ever since.

Trading away heart and soul will not provide heart and soul.

If we get bent over this year, We will simply become a development club for the strong clubs.

Someone remind me how those in the know rate this draft? I seem to remember it being called the weakest in 10 years..
