So yeah how about Sunday's game eh?

Ive got a fair idea of what Vossy's preferences are, and the players competing for a spot, but most of all I am eager to find our if Kennedy is selected to give him a run, now our reserves have bombed out.

Expecting Walsh, Cerra, Gov to all play, and Crippa rested to repair.

Who will Vossy choose between:

Boyd- Fisher ?
Marchbank- Kemp ?
Kennedy- Dow or Cuningham or Motlop ???

Anything can happen.
Some of us will be right and some wrong about the above.

Finals is fun.

Best thing is we have the depth players for every line (except Ruck) during Finals who are in form and AFL match fit:

Marchbank
Fisher
Dow
Curnow
Fogarty
Motlop

Silvagni is so important for KPF - Ruck depth/ sub . Fingers crossed Pitto and TDK keep on keeping on.

Club knows Pitto is not 100% but he wont get any worse if he keeps playing on that knee. He's the only one we have to play Vossy's crash bash and hurt ruck, like Clark Keating did back in the day. It would take a serious injury to remove Pitto from No 1 ruck.

I would have thought hoping for Carlton to make the finals over the last two decades was a similar act of immense imagination...

Hey guys
I agree
Let’s keep the personal attacks to PMs if it’s needed

What I will say is that The Carlton Football Club is the only sporting team I feel from the heart
Which means I feel love and hate
Mostly hate over the last 20 years

Although finals are guaranteed, an intriguing selection decision awaits coach Michael Voss ahead of Sunday's clash against the Giants. Adam Cerra (hamstring), Matt Kennedy (knee), Mitch McGovern (hamstring) and Sam Walsh (hamstring) are all expected to be deemed fit to play, but do they? On one hand, the Blues would like to give four of their most important players crucial time to regain full fitness ahead of September. On the other, they also need to assess their best mix and ensure the balance is right going into their first finals campaign in a decade. Four inclusions – some who haven't played for a considerable stretch – would be a lot for an elimination final in a fortnight's time. Elsewhere, small forward Corey Durdin (shoulder) also put his hand up for selection with eight disposals and 11 tackles in his VFL return last weekend. He could be another handy player to have available in September. – Riley Beveridge

Hoping for the Dogs to get their shit together just enough to topple a packed up and gone home Geelong.

Then we take care of GWS and secure a first final against the Dogs. I wouldn't have thought they'd be the team I'd want to play as I really rate their list, but something stinks down there at the moment and Bevo looks like he's losing the plot

they (dogs) could be a danger team imo. if they get their shit together, they will go on a run.

i'd be happy to rest whoever needs it, give the injured guys a run on marvel. don't do anything wild out there and suffer and honourable loss.

come back in a fortnight and hand them a new arsehole on the hallowed turf of the MCG on a friday night. like, totally dismantle them on the national stage. pull them apart piece by piece much like how bondiblue tears into a red rooster chook!

His analysis is somewhat superficial, presenting as two alternatives the option to play four ins to give them a match to get up to speed and an alternative to assess our best mix…
In this case, that’s pretty much the same thing. We need to give these guys some game time BECAUSE they are part of our best mix. Certainly 3 of them.
I think everyone has more or less identified the three or four choices the MC will need to make re Boyd/Fisher/Cincotta, Marchbank, Kennedy/Dow/Hollands/Cottrell, and possibly Cunningham, Motlop. And, if fit, JSOS…

What happened to Marchbank?

Too many changes for me, Fogarty, Young and Boyd don’t really need game time. Pittonet, Cincotta and Doc don’t need a rest beyond the finals first week break.

I’d add Kennedy as sub to replace Ed (that’s where you lost count I think).

I wouldn't bring Young in, I'd only play those who are likely to feature in September.

Cause GWS have been in good form for a similar period that we have, and Dogs look to be in all sorts. Some of the stuff coming out of Bevo's mouth is very strange.

I don't mind it but I'd keep Cincotta over Young. Cincotta had a poor game but he's been very good before that.
