I remember a lot of people saying before the Essendon* game that if it was our only win for the year they’d be ok with that as long as we beat them ... so the majority of us should be pleased right now ... seriously though ... our major deficiency is belief ... that is a lack of it ... on all levels within the club ... it’ll come though ...

Changed their structures and gameplay through necessity. They lost tall or static forward options so they've stacked their forward lines with a rotation of midfield types. Move the ball forward by any means possible and isolate your mobile options.

It's only possible because both teams have been blessed with injuries to their midfield. As I wrote in another thread, the magpies have had 7 games in total lost this year to their top 7 ranked players from last year! Nearly all midfielders. Richmond a similar run of luck.
Look at our midfield options. Cripps and .............
Bolton has tried twice to change up our forward lines with smalls and we've been belted both times. You cant make chocolate cake out of a turd.

You just make up one excuse after another.
Who cares why they changed their game style. They changed it and flew up the ladder. You also said the tigers could't win the granny, why again.
Going small does mean we changed our game style, just another way to give up the ball to the defenders and let them counter. Guard space and think their skill levels are as deplorable as ours because the coach hasn't got any confidence in his players.
We haven't got mids, we have got injuries.
How about they practice their skill and tackling.
How about the coach the kids and let them play to their strengths.
How about they play players in positions their attributes complement their strengths.
How about the coach and his staff do their jobs and actually get the players mentally and physically ready for an game day.

Maybe our coach just can't adjust or just wasn't ready for the demands and rigors of a senior coaching position.
I hope i'm wrong but we will find out soon.

I'm surprised that with your 30 word assessment on how to fix up 6 clubs that we don't have all 18 teams making the top 8 and that we dont have 3 or 4 teams winning the premiership every year.
Let's hope nobody from opposition clubs read this blueprint of yours on becoming a successful club

Hey SB, if we improve next season under Bolton can you go away and not come back? You don't deserve to enjoy the good times after years of such mindless negativity towards this club and so many of its true supporters.

what if we don't improve next season? what if it's more of the same, or even worse? what if due to more of the same on field success, Cripps doesn't re-sign with cfc? and other players follow suit and want out like the long list behind them who have already gotten out? it's all plausible right now, yeah?

What if sydney is right? what then?

you talk about flawed logic, crippa ... flawed logic is supporting the current rookie coach for no other reason than the club has had too many coaches lately, and we should stick with one for better or for worse.

Well, that settles it then. How stupid is Bolton. The fix is simple.
Play Murphy midfield. Thats his strength. Daisy wing/half forward. Jed Lamb plays best as a defensive forward.
Matty Wright and SPS forward/mids. Jack forward and seems to be showing signs as midfield relief.
Let's just play the specialist backmen in the backline.
Docherty, Williamson, Alex Silvagni, Plowman, Macreadie, Simpson, Byrne. Why not try a couple of the young defenders, JGM, Shumacher?
Why didn't Bolton play any of them last week? You're on fire this week. :lol:

Conveniently leaving out the staple of our defenders again (Jones, rowe, weitering, and marchbank) just to pretend you have a point.
I’m not kicking the club that I have supported all my life but I will not let you pretend they are doing it fine and everything is hunky dory.

Certainly possible. No guarantees. I agree with the flawed logic part too. That's not a reason to stick with Bolts. Not so sure there is a "long list" of players who wanted out. Hendo maybe. Most others wanted to stay but we didn't want them or we wouldn't offer them enough money or contract length.

If Sydney is right and things don't improve next season or we get even worse, etc. then we will all say "Sydney was right" and we will continue to positively support the club and each other.......and Sydney will say "I was right" plus a massive bunch of negative aggressive stuff towards the club and some of its supporters. That's what.

I'm just highlighting the fact that yes, like you, my blood boils with rage when I watch Carlton and yes, I get pissed off at selections, game style, poor skills etc.

Sometimes shit really does happen and I gave you 6 examples that the football world would not have predicted. Your response suggested it was so easy to fix the problems up. It's NOT that easy redback!

I've said before that I am more than comfortable to write off this disaster of a year, see what SOS brings us in November and then accept no excuses for next year. I want to see 8 wins minimum next year and finals in 2020
We will know by round 7 whether BB is there or not in 2020

I only ever have a go at a poster if they have a go at me first.
99% of the stuff that posters say about me I ignore.
If Bolton gets it right I will be the first to admit I was wrong.

Hey SB, if we improve next season under Bolton can you go away and not come back? You don't deserve to enjoy the good times after years of such mindless negativity towards this club and so many of its true supporters.

Ps: the fact that you still refuse to accept there is a difference between the internal messaging to the players and the media deflection re wins and losses shows how dedicated you are to bashing Bolton and ignoring logic.

Certainly possible. No guarantees. I agree with the flawed logic part too. That's not a reason to stick with Bolts. Not so sure there is a "long list" of players who wanted out. Hendo maybe. Most others wanted to stay but we didn't want them or we wouldn't offer them enough money or contract length.

If Sydney is right and things don't improve next season or we get even worse, etc. then we will all say "Sydney was right" and we will continue to positively support the club and each other.......and Sydney will say "I was right" plus a massive bunch of negative aggressive stuff towards the club and some of its supporters. That's what.
I am never aggressive towards any supporter.
I only ever have a go at a poster if they have a go at me first.
99% of the stuff that posters say about me I ignore.
If Bolton gets it right I will be the first to admit I was wrong.
I have no issue with that.
