Can you all lay off Barker and focus on what really needs to be done?
Can't believe the mentality of people
You want us to stop talking about John Barker in the "Can John Barker coach thread"?
Yeah because you don't know yet.. You're guessing... Except jim!
I'll go with Barker as interim coach." Won't cost is significantly more " according to the buffoon!
And I'm hoping like hell he can succeed
You are basically right - I don't
know anything.
Never played for Carlton. Never participated in any training sessions. Never attended a team meeting. Never played under any of the coaches. Never worked with or for any of the board. Shoot - I've never even met most of 'em!
But geez Synners, if we all stop posting because we don't "
know anything" it's going to be a pretty quite web site.
I do agree with you though about wishing him well. He'd have to be the most slagged off assistant coach we've ever had. The irony alone of him succeeding as a senior coach would be worth heaps of posts.
Reading you post Big Kev really saddened me. I value your contribution. You're a thinker. Synners doesn't hate you and your style. He just wants us off Barkers back and focus on some key club issues.
I don't know if the key issues are the benefactors and the seats they hold but some on the Board are not what we need....unless someone can give us examples.
Barker can't change the game plan overnight. True, we won't find out if he can coach or not for quite a while. We and he can't afford injuries with such a shallow list.
What I do know is I prefer barker than @#$%&! wits who have a tarnished reputation like Worsfold Voss and weak candidates such as Nicks.
