The choices on here are mostly either horribly cliche and dull or too obscure for most punters let alone those of us expected to sing along.

If we ever go back to playing and building a fortress at a suburban home ground like Princess, sure have a song and build our own culture. but the generic nature of afl and playing at the G or etihad having a song there would be nothing short of poncey and tryhard'ish.

imo it's the worst thing about the modern afl is the lack of suburban home grounds and the loss in translation of team's culture.

after watching a weekend of nfl & the prem league ... home grounds and their varying atmospheres is one of the biggest attributes the afl (and carlton) has dropped the ball from the 80's.
