In the bag.

And I think Graham will play against the Dockers.

I also think last weeks conditions for the Northern Blues would have had an impact on recovery (especially what happened against the Filth after we played Sydney in the wet).

Buckley from memory hurt his wrist in the last quarter last week so may not be 100%
Laids had surgery only two weeks ago to remove a screw from his injured knee.

Thanks for the info.

That explanation makes more sense than just blaming the 'arrogance' of the 'super duper coach'.

Buckley hurt his shoulder last week and I'd be surprised should he play on Sunday..
Desperately wanted to get back on the ground and signed himself off, but just didn't look right. Tough kid.

Laidler actually looked somewhat more mobile last week albeit that the ground slowed everyone down.
Weather a lot better this week, so we'll see how he comes up.

I don't know what's happening with Laidler but from the outside it doesn't look positive.

Disappointing because I really rate him and I believe Jamison and Watson would be so much better off with him back there.

Hopefully he gets a chance soon to prove his worth. A defence with Laidler, Simpson, Walker, Jamison/White, Tuohy, McInnes etc looks pretty good to me.

..in regards to playing 'the kids'.. ..we've actually played a bunch of players on our list with limited AFL experience..

..i like the look of Bootsma, and the 'role' ppl want Laidler to play i think Bootsma will be better, and i don't think it will take him that long to overtake Laids either.. ..he'll never be 'heavy', but Laids isn't exactly powerfully built either.. ..i reckon Bootmsa will play across HB like Lappin did for us years ago.. ..Bootsma is light yes, but he plays like he's 20kg's heavier in regards to throwing himself into the pack to spoil, or backing into danger.. ..i like him ranging across HB and he'll become our best spoiler sooner rather than later.. ..get the games into him, he's being fast-tracked and we're better off for it..

Can report no Carlton players boarding 12 noon flight from Sydney to Gold Coast.
That's a good thing.

I think I'm the only one displaying the CfC emblem

Prestia and Thompson in doubt. Both only did light running. Final call will be made depending on how they pull up.

Psych's Match Preview!

Alright, had a coffee with MM this morning and this it's whats happening. (Don't tell McKenna)

Line Up:

B: Simpson Jamison Tuohy
HB: Walker Watson Scotland

Foll: Kruezer Judd Curnow
C: Lucas McLean Gibbs

HF: Bootsma Henderson Garlett
F: Betts Rowe Murphy

Int: Yarran Carrazzo Armfield (Robinson)

I told him I'd be playing Graham but he said next week!

I suggested Laidler as well but he didn't know who I was talking about? :yikes:

Judd having to pass a late fitness test.
Curnow on Ablett. Carrazzo back up. Possible match ups on OMeara, Prestia considered.
Tuohy will get Campbell
Walker on Brennan
Bootsma to play defensive fwd role on McKenzie. Will prove a handful and will kick 2-3 goals.
Defensive pressure the key and we need to win more ball through midfield. We will put extra numbers through defensive 50 and look to outrun on turnover.
Humid greasy conditions will make it hard to mark. Open fwd line with Three amigo's and mids all contributing.
Kruezer v Nicholls pivotal
Robbo to make an impact in second half.
Goal to hold GCS to less than 8 goals.

Murphy to kick 4.

Blues by 23 points

Armfield probably or Robbo possibly for McKenzie IMO.
Bootsma to play back on the 3rd tall.

Carrazzo for Ablett and Curnow on O'Meara

Doesn't Judd, like Murph, not train the day before a game?

Stop playing games, if he's sore...rest him.
