This sh$ts me to tears. There is a case for GWS tanking, surely? They don't select a team for a win, they cherry pick games or even quarters as in the case against Melbourne. Four years of taking the cream off the top off the draft and a three year pre-season. What a crock. I hope we pillage their homesick players at year's end

I'll bet never before has anyone ever claimed that leaving O'Halpin out of a team was tantamount to tanking.

Considering the three emergencies are Buckley, Menzel, and Watson, either Jamison with his shoulder or McLean with concussion or both will drop out.

And I wouldn't mind giving both a rest anyway to give a couple of youngsters with class (yes I know the jury is out on Watson) some senior game time.

Pannell umpiring. That guy isn't my favourite.

Yaz could drop out too. Normally 21 days for a hammy and he did it against St kilda. They played him that night when they shouldnt have so i cant see why they would risk him tomorrow.

ANOTHER concussion scare may have scuppered Carlton's plans to rest a star or two for tomorrow's clash against Greater Western Sydney.

It is understood the Blues were open to the idea of leaving either captain Marc Murphy or former skipper Chris Judd - both just suffering from general soreness - out of the team to face the Giants.

But with Kane Lucas already ruled out with a hamstring injuries, doubts over Brock McLean's fitness after a head clash of his own last week may mean that Judd and Murphy are both forced to play on.

I'd like to see Buckley given a run if Brock is a late out

I take it you have no idea?

In his first game back from a full reco he kicked 5 goals and then 3 goals and then did his calf...oh and that's as a forward in a shit side. He's been omitted for this game due to match fitness.

Playing second fiddle to Waite, we'd be a far better side with him still around...but Bower's now playing for Peel Thunder and Russell's in the gun at Collingwood.

Have to agree. What are we paying for less than 60 again? Might be some money in that.

Well maybe I don't.

In all honesty I was a bit of fan of O'Halpin's when he was at Carlton. I kept thinking he was "almost there". Things just didn't work out for him though. That's life. You can't keep rolling out the " still learning the game" line forever. The current reality though is that, for whatever reason, he can't get a game for the worst club in the competition. I think our list managers would be feeling ok with the decision to move him on.

Whats wrong with playing one of the 20 odd hbfers we have in our warchest of depth in the ressies???

Similar sentiments to me BigKev. I was a fan of Setanta at the Blues and still wish him well. A friend of mine is closely related to Setanta so I would have loved to still be supporting him at the Blues but I suspect it may have been the right move for all parties. Setanta should get more opportunities at GWS and we need to develop some younger KP forward options like Casboult.
I have mixed feelings about the Irishman not playing against us. Would like to see him get a gig regularly but don't particularly want him to kick a bag against us unless we still win by miles.
Didn't he kick two or three and look ominous very early in the game against us before he did his knee?

Isn't that what we keep saying about Hampson?

The fact he wasn't picked for this game and Casbault was gives me great hope.
