he's the new David Teague. good bloke, club man and leader to the kids. limited AFL footballer IMO.

He has hamstring issues I believe.

One excellent year in 2011, but he is useless now when the ball hits the deck, unless we cop heaps of injuries i think we are unlikely to see much of him again.

Laidler and even Davies would be ahead of him. Bootsma will be soon enough.

I think I'm with you now Club. I was one who always wanted Gibbs in the midfield being a number one draft pick and all. Gee you don't waste them as a half back. Then I thought back and remembered Kenny Hunter, Andy MacKay and that other old hacker Bruce Doull. I think I've changed my mind.

Be accountable be all means, but dont give him the opposition's most dangerous mid size forward.

No, he's a midfielder. For his own sake he will become elite and potentially win a brownlow if he plays midfield all the time. We waste him in defence.

He's not wasted if that's where he's needed.

Club29 can sort this out for you, I can't be bothered.

Also, no one else will agree but I think this year Jamo is back to his 2011 best.

I for one couldn't agree more n he's been sensational thus far.

fingers cruised the 2011 laidler returns to help give a chop out from time to time.

+1 here. Had excellent games against Richmond and collingwood, shutting cloke down. Got beaten a few times by Hawkins but not comprehensively. Hawkins is a monster, and Jamo is a little undersized against him.

It's been a tough gig for the defenders the first 3 games with the midfield and forwards letting the ball in far too quickly and easily. Jamo has been very, very good

Jamo/Hendo were excellent again. No key forward has kicked more than 3 on us this year.

Not bad considering we've come up against JRoo, Cloke, Hawkins, JJK and Darling.

Until tonight it's been the Mid/Smalls that have cut us up.

Clokes display today is the only REAL dominant power forward performance of the season so far

just home from the game - bit drunk sorry

what a shocking game from both sides really

pretty poor skills

great to win ugly though , on the road, against the idiotic crowd and the horribly biased umpires

nice to see some heart and teamwork and a defensive edge

it looked like micks instructions were clicking with some out there tonight.

eagles are hopeless , they have a lot of issues to sort out.

i'm not getting too excited on that performance - but it was great to see signs as above.

ok , i got excited rubbing those prick eagles supporters faces in their own faeces

BOOOOO, DELIBERATE, BOOOOOOO, IN THE BACK , BBAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL, BOOOOOOOOOO !

eagles kick a goal - OH @#$%&! YES !!!, WE ARE AWESOME , YAY , YEAH , GO EAGLES GO , SGIO , GO EAGLES GO !

then 30 seconds later , BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

a bigger bunch of @#$%&! morons you will never meet or spend more time with in one sitting in your entire life.

serious pack of @#$%&! wits

and that subi oval - bomb it now , just bulldoze it , play the AFL games at a suburban ground

corporate box and still terribly uncomfortable with terrible service and shit amenities

ordered food before the game it came at the start of the second half

@#$%&!

i could have dry humped yarran

armfield is the fastest man on the planet

warnock is a beast , seriously makes a massive difference - i dont give a shit about the stats - he must play every game in the ruck

jamo was outstanding in marking contests

we still can help murph more - gets targeted a shitload off the ball

garlett very good around the contests

gibbs is a defender - attacking hbf whatever you want to call it - he just is

plenty to work on but we will keep improving

good win

go blues

Thoroughly enjoyable night at Subi

Some anxious moments but absolutely thrilled to get the win. Hopefully this kickstarts our season.

Worked hard and deserved the win IMHO. Army's and Jeffy's shepherds were absolute highlights for me.

I flower hate the Eagles with a passion so they can GAGF as far as I'm concerned.

Now to watch the replay and digest it all again.

The absolute worst umpiring decision of the night:

Carrazzo getting done for high tackle on that weak cheating ducking flower selwood. Selwood picks up the ball on our 50, looks up, sees carrazzo approaching front on, puts his head back down and basically charges at carrazzo. Carrots see's this pricks tactics coming and plays it perfectly. Pulls up and does well to not make any forceful contact. Selwood's head rams into carrazzo who is almost stationary. Whistle. High tackle.

I nearly put my fist through the tv. It was the most blatant case of ducking the head you could ever see and the umpire was 5 metres away. Selwood is a repeat repeat repeat offender and the umpires should be expecting it from him. Carrots was livid

What about, straight after the one against Carrazzo, and then another shocker, Lucas handballs and gets done for throwing.
2 minutes later, Kennedy throws it and they kick a goal.

I saw some highlights of cloke, and wow! Some of those big grabs and long goals. If only we had a forward capable of that

Completely agree. A shocker.

I don't mind knocking Knockers, but tonight he went well.

I hope asking for this two weeks in a row from him ain't asking too much.

Thought Hammer did some good things too.

Has 16 goals for the season. Has kicked them in 3 games.
Jamo is in brilliant form.

We almost had him could have been in the navy blue. Made a great offer he rejected it to bad need to develop Casboult
