Great effort tonight

Despite what those set in their ways think here on TC........MM demonstrating that Gibbs may just be a midfielder, Lucas will be close, Garlett may be in our best 22 (rotating thru midfield).........and clutch my pearls what a sneaky surprise........big Matty Kreuzer appears to be able to play the game and even take a make in the fwd line!

Enjoyed that.
The boys look fit and hungry.
Could be a great year eh?

Warnock makes way for Hampson, for mine.

For the international members on TC, I was able to get AFLTV working on my iPhone but could not get it to work on the iPad or laptop.

Anyone got any suggestions/feedback if they were able to get AFLTV to work ?

Not on the strength of what I saw at the game.

Don't wish bad on any of the boys but Warnock just played so strong for the short time he was on the ground. It's tough going when all three ruck-men are healthy.

Ellard definitely subbed off in 3rd term for AJ with what looked like a mild hammy strain.

Thought he looked really good when he came on too (albeit on tv), however Kreuzer is No.1 for mine, and Hampson the best option as a forward/second ruckman.

Tough choices for the Match Committee, glad it's not up to me.

Went along to the game. Great first half and took the foot off the pedal a bit in the second.
Good games by Betts, Kreuzer, Jamo, Gibbs, Lucas just to name a few.
Robbo had a quiet first half but finished the game well.
Still made a few mistakes but the pressure we applied was great.
Our bid forwards were quieter his week but our crumbers made up for it, Betts is becoming an elite footballer.
One thing hasnt changed from last season, the umpiring was terrible and dont get me started on the ball bounces.
An enjoyable night, so good to go to the footy again.

Just got back from game tonight and will be interested to here MM's comments on how we handled the new game plan. We were definately kicking the ball longer much more often tonight than last year.

Likewise in Beijing. Even with a vpn.

No bandages on Kreuzer's knee, he is jumping again in the ruck contests and getting some air again looks good.

And on their throws as well.

And for God's sake, when a player gives you the ball to throw up, please have the common decency to let him get back into some sort of position!

I was at the match and both boys covered the ground very well. Kreuzer's just a beast and impossible to ignore for all the work he does in the ruck and around the ground but Warnocks taps to advantage were equally hard to ignore............and then we have to consider Hampson also.

It's tough.

Very encouraging display tonight. If we can replicate that level of intent, work rate and defensive pressure in the season proper, we'll trouble a lot of sides.

Until that happens, I'm personally keeping the lid well and truly on.

Yep, I just value the marking power, provided Hampson keeps taking the grabs, I think we'll need it. It's not a negative comment on Warnock, from my point of view. It may depend on whether Waite comes up.
