Best I've seen him play in that video. Lost the extra weight from his League days and is absolutely monstering them with his first and side step, not to mention his tackling technique. All the naysayers starting to look stupid.

I probably am in that column as I said he wouldn't be much outside the bubble as a midfielder, but he looks like he's shed 10 kilos.

This I agree with.

The biggest discussion should be not ins/outs but who gets the green vest.

Duigan should start on the ground.

Be very interesting to see their philosophy of this. Do they go with Lucas for a second time or do they rotate?

Its all about minutes played etc and giving players breaks when they can.

Yarran as sub for example would shake a tag and then cause havoc in the second half.

Simpson, Scotland, Gibbs, Garlett, Betts would all make a massive difference coming on fresh after half time.

Imagine Judd as a sub! :yikes:

Gibbs is a super star

he doesnt get the flashy roles

he gets the team job done every week

once our backline settles and he moves up the ground watch him dominate in a more obvious manner

He has one good quality. He can kick. not a midfielders backside though and I would be pretty pissed if I wasted a number 1 pick on a half back

knob boy, can you sit next to me at the game saturday please?

Think it's going to be more like this...

Great stuff !

See Davey thinking he got the free.

Heppell haha classic stuff.

Yeah, but Gibbs was a skinny bottom ager who had a look in his sixth game.

Unforgiveable incident that occurred five seasons ago.

Bryce only picks up soft kicks by bludging as a defender...

Kindly bin the threats of physical violence, or we'll be handing out holidays.

Just so you Bloos fans understand... Bombers Fans - as a general rule - do not rate Gibbs. never have, never will. I have no idea what it's about (maybe it has to do with who we took at the next pick) but this is just the way it will always be.

On Gibbs: The fact that he has served behind Judd, Murphy, Simpson etc, is the reason why he is not a regular midfield player. essentially, you haven't needed him to be. If he played at 90% of other clubs (certainly ours) he would have had to play more midfield.

Has this been good or bad for his development? I.e, has it held him back, or has it allowed him to progress without ever worrying about receiving a tag? Would he be a better player at another club, or would he have been found out?

(fwiw: I reckon he's pretty good. Not anywhere near Murphy, but still pretty damn good)

And go easy on the Heppell 'squib.' He's copped his fair share of crap, but he clearly got called out of the contest by his team mate.

I have never bothered with wondering what other supporters think of Bluebagger players
just as I am certain they don't care what i think of their players

but of all the supporters whose opinions I couldn't care less about
the worst would have to be bummer supporters

as least Collingwood are honest in their hatred

Bummers always try and sound so reasonable while speaking absolute dribble.

flower!

Grew up around heaps of them. They're reasonable until they hit puberty.

Spot on....

They would rather fool themselves with ridiculous statements than accept the real deficiencies that they might have.

The teenage girls I know are far more level headed, eg the One Direction crowd last night.

I would ask you to withdraw that comment and look for a more accurate comparison.

Gibbs out marked cloke then wood back to back. His one on one ability is second to none ppl forget his the man that does the team job whether its shutdown role in the mid, defensive forward or on a h/b cleaning up the mess. Not every #1 pick has to be a mid or kpp.
At the end of last year when on occations they let him loose he was dominating, not like a juddy, ablett or franklin but still dominating.

Hope we dont get ahead of ourselves here if we play like against coll we win by plenty

Lol at Squibbell... He didn't want contact and the Dumbers supporters try to make excuses. "he got called out of it" yeah okay...

If Gibbs wore a girly red sash he would be their number one player. And that includes Watson.
